Admin Vista Posted June 4, 2014 Admin Report Posted June 4, 2014 In days of old I'd have said WRC but now, F1. At least F1 cars don't pretend to be "just like the car you can buy in the dealership" 1
theloudboy Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 They have taken away too much power from the WRC cars which is a shame and the new engine tech in the F1 engines is amazing F1 for me
mk2 mike Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 BTCC for me! Failing that F1. Never been a fan of rallying. I take circuit racing over diet every time. 1
macford Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 I could just vision a big fat rally driver sliding sideways in McDonalds drive through holdings mcflurry Then you corrected it. But F1 is like computer racing.. I will take fat dirt any time 2
BaileyMex Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 Out of those two WRC, I find F1 a little boring unless there is a mental tear up or a crash lol
D-FENS Posted June 5, 2014 Report Posted June 5, 2014 WRC for me ,i did a half day rally course at Bill Gwynne rally school in a mk2 escort RS 2000 and i was shite .Very dissapointing and it was so hard to try to do the rally stuff .Me and my 83 year old dad did an American Muscle Car experience last monday at the Goodwood circuit .We did a 6 mile drive in a 1960,s Ford Mustang and i didnt find it very exciting at all .My dad loved it so thats all that counts. 2
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 6, 2014 Author Admin Report Posted June 6, 2014 WRC for me ,i did a half day rally course at Bill Gwynne rally school in a mk2 escort RS 2000 and i was shite .Very dissapointing and it was so hard to try to do the rally stuff .Me and my 83 year old dad did an American Muscle Car experience last monday at the Goodwood circuit .We did a 6 mile drive in a 1960,s Ford Mustang and i didnt find it very exciting at all .My dad loved it so thats all that counts. I went out in a rally Scooby as a passenger and had a massive grin on my face - it was certainly an adrenalin rush. I've also been out as a passenger in a Viper ... nice little ride out in the countryside but not the same!
garyv6100e Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 Nascar and NHRA drag racing for me, record it all from espn on virgin media and then drive my wife mad with watching 3 hrs of top fuel action
aardvark101 Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Dont do F1 at all, WRC is dull these days, looks like your nans shopping car with stickers on it, dont have Spy t.v. or cable so no drags. So WTC if i notice its on, i used to like G.T. Racers , loads of Mustangs, E-Types and ,& Jags havin a tear up followed by Pimms & cucumber sammich
Admin Vista Posted June 7, 2014 Admin Report Posted June 7, 2014 So the main complaint about F1 is that there's not enough overtaking...........yet the Motorsport that some people choose instead has no overtaking at all? 1
theloudboy Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 There is overtaking in F1 people don't watch it and just say its boring, its not boring they just ain't interested in watching it how can an 800+ housepower car that does over 200mph and generated up to 5G be boring
popeye Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Never been in to F1... boring... WRC is good viewing at times, but only the crashes... Has to be BTCC and WTCC, door to door racing every time... 1
SmokeEm Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Moto GP and Speedway for me and I'm not even into bikes, its just more exciting.
PaulMags Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 I went out in a rally Scooby as a passenger and had a massive grin on my face - it was certainly an adrenalin rush. I've also been out as a passenger in a Viper ... nice little ride out in the countryside but not the same! when you come down to me next bring your scooby and i'll show you how it peforms on the docks road and through the roundabouts flat out.lol 1
442 Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 V8 australian super cars for me.....how btcc used to be in mid 90's. 3 drivers goin for a bend with only space for one lol, F1 boring now for me i'm afraid.
D-FENS Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Moto GP and Speedway for me and I'm not even into bikes, its just more exciting. The speedway that i have seen is usualy won by whoever gets to the first corner first .Not a great deal of overtaking involved.
SmokeEm Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 Then you haven't been watching the Gran Prix races fella. Its the creme of the riders all fighting it out over one evening. Its awesome to watch!
Chris standage Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 The only thing I can bare watching Motorsport wise on TV is monster trucks, I find f1 too long and can't really think if a reason to not like wrc but I just don't, can't beat huge chunks of metal flying around smashing stuff to bits
gwtaylor22 Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 i watch non as if i've got time to sit down and watch TV it should be time spent on the OSF
