mk2 mike Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 I'm in it. Well, my car is! 8 page feature. Chuffed almost a shame to paint it a different colour now!
Admin Vista Posted June 26, 2014 Admin Report Posted June 26, 2014 Well one, car looks great in those shots
mk2 mike Posted June 26, 2014 Author Report Posted June 26, 2014 Thanks. I linked more pictures but only two are showing on the above post? Anyhow I think it looks good in the pics too. Almost going to be a shame to paint it lol
SmokeEm Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 I don't think I would Mike. It might make you happier BUT its throwing money down the drain IMHO. Painting it a more usual colour will add value but not a lot as it isn't an RS. Your 1st plan of investing in a droop snoot was more feasible but its your car/cash mate
mk2 mike Posted June 26, 2014 Author Report Posted June 26, 2014 Very true. I'm already past the point where I'd have broken even if I sold it. I've gone against the RS route as people want stupid money for even rough ones. I know my car is solid and I'd rather spend on this one than get another that might turn out to be rotten. 2
dalmarshall Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 Great stuff Mike I'll buy a copy (for a change!) Well deserved mate , it's a cool car and you've made vast improvements since you've had it 1
BigBubba Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 Well done! It's nice to get a bit of recognition for all the hard work. Will get a better look at it when I buy the mag, but it looks ace in the photo!
SmokeEm Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 I love it as it is but it's yours mate so you paint it Dakar yellow if you fancy My vote is Java Green
mk2 mike Posted June 26, 2014 Author Report Posted June 26, 2014 I'm thinking of going for a more modern colour, Something from 2005-2010 for example 1
qwerty Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Well done on the feature, car looks fantastic.
aardvark101 Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Now dont get me wrong, yellow is the best colour, FACT However your car is Sooooooooooooo RED, it would be a shame to change it.
Admin Vista Posted June 27, 2014 Admin Report Posted June 27, 2014 I think 70's cars look best in period bright colours. When was the last time you saw a modern car in a really striking bright colour?

Admin Vista Posted June 27, 2014 Admin Report Posted June 27, 2014 Lol yeah ok there's always an exception but in my defence, it's still very clearly a modern metallic colour 1
