Admin Vista Posted February 19, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 19, 2007 Dedicated To British BuiltOld Skool Fords RWD Escort's, Capri's Anglia's, 100e and Cortina's I just realised - this bombs all RS2000's - weren't they made in Germany? Good point, but only mk2's (smug look ) Mk1's were built at Averley. P.S. I was only joking mate, don't take offence. It's totally the owners business what they fit to their car, it's just fun to stir it up a bit now and again, especially with the XE converts

Rick Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 seems a good price, what gearboxes, axle setup would be recommmended to handle that kinda power ?
Guest turbo2 Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 quaife gearbox and tran x slipper unit with group 4 quaife shafts would be strong enough

Mk 1 Mark Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Old Ford car. with old skool fool driving who is half irish Some people used to say im half jewish...But im saving up to be jewish!! Anyway..My car still english engined,Well ol good Voccy XE engine ... But it still has Jap management,German shafts,Japanese tyres, engine parts from around the world.. So Some will say Thats not right or allowed or dont like it But to me its still look cool..Goes well and thats all that counts for me...If it works ..then us it.. None of this show and shine malarkey..If Gas/Nos works for some people dont moan about it..use it yourself.. Oh but that engine should`nt be in that car?its not a ford.. Its works for me and love it!!! And anyone else can use what ever they want just as long as they enjoy it and have fun it it See you @ a trackday soon and you can tell me it dont work
Johnson Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Well said cossymax. i personaly have alot of time for well engineered conversions with 'foreign' engines. like rx7 powered anglias and s2000 powered mk1. i consider the use of such effective power plants the way forward. altho i still think the crossflow is cool as fook!

"is that right Vern?"
