I know every man and his dog has an orange escort but I've always wanted one. I was going to go ST electric orange but apparently it's a nightmare to blend in if I have a dink so I'm still looking at options. I'd prefer something metallic though. Maybe Kawasaki wildfire orange?
mk1del Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Yes all these modern colours are a nightmare, a lot of them are 3_ 4 stages to paint, usually have to full basecoat plus colour plus topcoat and lacquer, quite expensive as well, why not go for for proper colour Sebring red which is basically orange,

If it was down to me, that Porsche gulf orange would be exactly the colour I'd go for. I'll see if I can persuade her! Look into my eyes, not around the eyes.... [emoji12]

mk1del Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Yes had green prodrive Scooby £16.000 worth few years ago, hit some mud on road rolled it 3 times into a field, ouch, also bought green rover 220 diesel, turbo blew up on motorway, then last year bought a td5 disco blew head gasket, expensive job, then auto box blew a seal lost over a grand on that,, no more green for me 1

So much so that when I was doing some work on her car she used it for a few days and then didnt want to give it back! So never say never. That porka gulf orange is the best of the bunch

JP. Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 Grabber Orange ...... Sebring Red.......(= orange ).. And see if it can be sprayed in old skool lead based paint. Its still out there. But the painter has to know where to get it or has to be willing to spent some time looking for it.. Mine is painted '73 Sebring red last year in old fashion Lead based paint. It gets beauty by age.
