xpackken Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 hey guys does anyone have any ideas for rims for my wide archd mk2 xpack capri . i put a wanted ad in the wanted section for wide wheels but had no luck . i want something a little different maybe modern wheels but i dont know how to calculate the offset so that i know if they will fill out the wide archs how can i tell if the wheels are going to be wide enoghf and siit nicely under archs if going down the modern route. what do you think i should go for or does anyone have any wheels .. i quite like splitrim type and would prefere to go big 15 - 17 inch . no wider than 8-9 . seen thes on ebay will they work .. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-ESCORT-RS-CO ... dZViewItem _________________ Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Forum

Messenjah Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 trus tht was for 7x15s and that was a quote froma guy called paul i think at revolution wheels themselves
Doc Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Mate they look the wrong offset to fill the arches too much of the wheel is on the inside even though they are 8 inches. It has to be the right offset or it will look shit Im not sure but i know that the proper x pack at 7.5" work well as do special slt rims but there aint many off the shelf wheel to fill the arches. I know i looked for months .

Messenjah Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 yes they look the wrong offset but SPACERS admitedly its not the best solution and will but more strain on ure wheel bearings but its a means to an end
