ianb10 Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Oh that reminds me of my old "D" reg Anglia, that was bubble arched and red, NXC 88D was the reg, was running a 1500 pre-crossflow when I sold it. Nice looking car by the way.
colr6 Posted April 18, 2015 Author Report Posted April 18, 2015 Just a few more photos taken in the garage as I am replacing rear coil overs and changing the seats to GT8's 6
deckerdudeX304 Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Have not been on the site for quite a while now, doing some catching up, so my reply's might be a tad out of date to the pictures i'm looking through! Very nice looking car, always wanted an Anglia.
guido Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 did you run it past summer ? What's the spec on it, gears/diff/clutch. I see its an XE motor with different Logo. Modded too?
colr6 Posted December 28, 2015 Author Report Posted December 28, 2015 Hi guido, never run it down the strip first gears to long for that unless you want to sit there with the wheels spinning. Engine 2.1 xe all steel, accurlite pistons, qed full race cams, ported head special valves twin 45 delortos going through skeleton flywheel with twin paddle clutch.still fitted is quaife five speed type 9 s/c pro box which is being removed as its too noisy getting replaced with BGH helical gearbox. Diff is 3-54 gripper LSD onto quaife two piece halshafts. Coil overs all round discs all round all fully adjustable suspension all built by me a bit rough in places but not built to show. still needs suspension setting up properly yet corner weights and final set up on geometry to get the best out of it.Is road legal and attend a few meets with it if only to annoy the purists. Once the Tina is built it'll be just purely a track car.
khanlad Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 I'm loving the axle stands, where did you get them and we're they expensive? 1
colr6 Posted December 28, 2015 Author Report Posted December 28, 2015 You know me use and adapt anything if it free! Mite have helped if they were engineering bricks
khanlad Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 Looks like you're nicking the wheels
guido Posted December 28, 2015 Report Posted December 28, 2015 paddle clutch, hard to drive on busy roads would it? organic or sintered metal?
colr6 Posted December 28, 2015 Author Report Posted December 28, 2015 Yes very heavy and its in or out not good for town driving.wish I'd never fitted it
