It's always the way...........Guess if it's so ones dream car they will pay what it takes to secure it! Just wish I had kept my 2 mk2 RS2000 from the 80s! If we knew then what we know now eh!

Yes for 30k your into concours cars totally original mint in every aspect not just a good paint job. Having prepared bikes for concours competitions for the past 15 years you tend to be a bit critical on things. I saw some nicer cars at Santa pod which realistically would not command that sort of figure. Suppose they are hoping for someone to come along and be mesmerised by the good paint job and the rs badges on it!

Noting that there a few areas not shown, based on the images presented I don't think there's too much to pick holes in about this car. Reinstate original big header rad and servo and perhaps re-dye the beta cloth trim on the seats so it regains its black and I think you'd be on to a winner. I'd certainly be looking for this sort of money in order to part with mine.

Did they really come with a wooden dash? Serious question as it doesn't sort of gel with the intended uses?

It was an option pack and was selected by many from new. What has been installed incorrectly in that car though is 1300e wooden door tops. They didn't have those/.

When people start talking 20 or 30 grande for what is an old car then it's no surprise the thieves want them, as there going to be easy to steal compared to a good modern car that would fetch less money, I have. A good mk1. 2 door but I don't think they are worth that sort of money but because it costs so much to build a good one then you would want your money back,it's the people making the money for the parts who are pushing up the prices, they Seem to think if you got an escort your loaded and willing to pay them money for anything ford related,,
