underfloor heating !! 8) I WANT SOME OF THAT :D

sounds plush!

The idea behind it is not really to keep me warm and cosy, but will be on a frost stat, so it will switch on at a pre set temp, say 5 degs just to keep condensation at bay, well thats what I have told the wife, and of course to keep me warm on those cold winter nights.

I intend to use about half of the recomended elements for a house under the floor heating, so its not too expensive to lay or run, and you buy it on a roll rather than built into a mat, so its easy to fit to to my requirments [i HOPE]

I'd like to think of myself as hardcore. I did many many hours on the Capri in the dark and the cold and loved it.

The only thing is, so far, i havent lifted a finger on the Cortina. Mainly because it never made it back to Bristol. Although when i get it back i will be hardcore, gotta get it slammed and on its 8x13's for the show season. :ykt:

And again, thanks to BIGKEV and Ian the magic welder bloke for the Tina work. :D

In total i reckon i've spent near on 6months down my leaky, cold, lonely, asbestos roofed garage knee deep in old rusty panels and ton's of filler dust!

Got the scars to prove it and hopefully in about 3 months the motor to back it up!!!

I used to be Hardcore,im just lazy now!!

Throughout 17 years of OSF ownership ive always worked outside changing engines gearboxes etc even rebuilding cars completeley.I briefly used my grandparents garage when i built my lemans green mk1 unfortunateley there was so much crap in there i often had to move the car outside to work on it anyway!

Built my white mk1 outside a few years ago then my 100e last year but that was the last straw.Trying to get motivated on a cold winters day when your soaked through was bloody hard & i hated having to pack up tools & parts only to get them all out again the next day-with a garage you can just leave everything in chaos & shut the door on it!

Most of the cars are long gone but ive now got a bad back & aching limbs to remember them by! So no more projects for me till i get a garage........................(probably  )

Done an engine swop on a 105e anglia with it snowing when I was 17,welding cars in the rain with a plastic sheet to cover me,laying on me back under me mk1 escort changing the gearbox and the oil is running out the end all over me private parts  .....wouldnt change it for the world....got a garage now(for the last 20 odd years)but still need to drag the car out as theres only so much you can do in a garage, even when youve knocked a hole through to another,Pop one side,Model A Pickup in the other. :D
