Hi all,

I don't normally have a whinge but a couple of things this past week have grated on me. In both cases it's people asking for parts and me offering them, with pics, at very good prices, on another forum and a FB group. Neither OP responded to my replies to say yay or nay. I just find it a bit rude and lazy to not even type "not what I'm after" or "found something elsewhere" or even "will you take a fiver less?" I've never had it on here I must say but it makes you want to just sling it on ebay or gumtree at inflated prices rather than help out someone in the forum/group.

Rant over, enjoy your weekend. Lol

That's the thing though, they were asking for stuff, I was offering it. When I've placed a wanted ad I've been chuffed that someone has it available. [emoji19]

Yep.

Which one? If you sent them a message (as a non friend) it'll be hidden in a folder they won't see without searching for it. I was selling something, thought I had no replies so binned it after a couple of months then found about 15 messages from people wanting it!

Does my head in as well. There was a wanted ad on TS for an 1100 crossflow engine. I had one in my mk1 which I wanted rid of. Agreed a price to be removed and put on a pallet for collection. Told him I would remove asap bearing in mind I had to arrange something with the owner of the storage yard, which I did for 4 days later. Had a message from said buyer asking when he could arrange collection told him next few days the engine would be out and ready. Come the day, drive 3/4's hour to yard, spend couple of hours removing engine, 3/4's hour drive home knackered, message said desperate buyer who then promptly dissappears off the face of the earth!

From what I've seen of Fb is it full of people with a lot of time on their hands giving irrelevant posts/ answers/likes/dislikes, to be honest never knew there were that many people out of work to spend the time on there! Or is just me not been "connected" as you may put it. IMO I'd rather stay unplugged than trawl through all the trivial tripe on there. Hah finished!
