gdk46 Posted November 1, 2016 Report Posted November 1, 2016 Just had all the welding done on the car, now need some to finish painting, engine refub, and everything else that need doing to get her in show class standard. I have not got time to spend on her, so if you know of A1 company who could finish restoring her. Cheers Graham
Admin Vista Posted November 1, 2016 Admin Report Posted November 1, 2016 How far are you prepared to travel? I suspect it'll be expensive as there's a lot of hours that go into putting a car back together.
colr6 Posted November 1, 2016 Report Posted November 1, 2016 Some pics of how the car is now might help, what parts you have if any new / old what engine modding or std. How much do you expect your budget to be. Time scale ?
gdk46 Posted November 3, 2016 Author Report Posted November 3, 2016 Will take some pictures this weekend and post Cheers
colr6 Posted November 3, 2016 Report Posted November 3, 2016 Depending on your time scale, might be able to do something for you. Got two on the go at the moment. But not to far away from you just over the dirty river.

You will know it when you see it, the box is really really big with a customs label stating the contents as "A Frustrating Piece of S**t - Value - "a few bob"

Definitely able to be improved. Depends on how much it would cost, would you even want a 4 door Mk2 though?
colr6 Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 It's a ford that's all that matters, easy access if you want it four linking and turrets putting in !
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted November 6, 2016 Moderator Report Posted November 6, 2016 It's a ford that's all that matters, easy access if you want it four linking and turrets putting in ! There are probably more Twincams in the world than genuine flat nosed RS2000/Mexicos with 2lft engines or as we call them Rally Packs and approx 1 in 4 of those left are 4 doors, and you would want to 4 link it? LOL. What would you do to my Twincam then?
colr6 Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 Totally original just as they should be !

Wolf in sheeps clothing, just how they should be. image.jpeg image.jpg Mines actually more original than that. It still has the original booster and no electronic ignition (It has a huge round rotor arm with a mechanical rev limiter built in.). Australian Twincams werent as basic as the British Ones though. As you already have seen they come in colours and have a factory Roestyle steel wheels rather than simple hubcaps. Ones fitted with the deluxe option like mine have fake woodgrain across the dash and doors and around the instruments as well as driving lights and chrome trims around the windows. I guess in the scheme of things still pretty basic though.
Admin Mk2Jo Posted November 7, 2016 Admin Report Posted November 7, 2016 I can recommend D&A Customs based in Kent. OSF members and proper old Ford experts ... ask for Aaron and say Jo @ Oldskoolford recommended them... http://dandacustoms.co.uk/ Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
