Old cover just tore to shreds in the wind and only got money for Christmas so thought I may blow it on a fancy cover. Cant make up my mind. So just a bit of fun as what combo do you like best for this car?

The Car

The website that lets you choose your own colour using their software

As the car is orange I want to use orange somewhere but thats the only prerequisite.

Do you like orange sides or top? Black or Grey for alternate sections? White or black piping? A stripe? I cant seem to decide! Unless someone has a better Orange coloured cover on offer? Or is this just too fancy for an old Escort and waste the money on booze and crisps again?

Needs to covered with one of these, with my address on it. Dropped off at the docks for shipment to a nice centrally heated garage where it will be loved and cherished not left out in the wind and rain.

Certainly that offers better protection than its got now. The current cover is just putrid and torn from neglect. I thought if I put a fancy cover over it visitors will think Ive been caring for it and not cop any flak for letting it sit there idle.

Even If I left it for you in my will Col you would have to come collect it and box it yourself. The family dont want it so I can bet they wont go to all the trouble to ship it off to someone else! Quote from Nephew - "What would I do with that old thing?"

Have you ever seriously considered selling it in the UK? Or are you too attached to it?

Im not overly attached to it no. All my memories are invested in the Mk2 hence why Im focusing on it. I have briefly thought about selling it in the UK but the whole concept seems too daunting. I dont have the knowledge or gumption to actually undertake it. But hey I bought new points and a cap for it this year so thats more than last year! (Havent put them in yet though woops)

There used to be an Australian cigarette ad with the song jingle "Join the club, join the club, join the Escort club" You had to be cool to join the Escort Club.
