Supercharged Nat Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Ive been looking into it, ok so you dont get paid but i got free time and want a challenge. has anyone else thought about this or even done it?
orionmojo Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 i did until the part where you dont get paid. i need a weekend job where i get more money! wouldn't mind it if icould afford it though. same with a firefighter.
jayson2.3pinto Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 i can not stand the police so i would not ,pigs
fezza Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 i can not stand the police so i would not ,pigs Im sure our fellow oldskoolforder Daggle will be thrilled to hear what you think of him
Tom Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 i can not stand the police so i would not ,pigs really dunno what to say to that small minded comment
Durham Fiesta Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 the thing is people slag the police off but they are the first people they turn to when theres a problem
james p Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 i was thinkin about it but dint think i would have the time . if you have the time mate you should go for it its a good way to help people regardless of gettin paid . and as far as ppl who cant stand the police i have only ever met 1 who was a cock the rest have been proper .i work in a bike shop and supply surrey police so ive met a good few .
Twinkle Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 i thought about doing it but being a paramedic i thought it might throw up some ethical problems with some of the things i have to deal with so i joined the coastguard and am a member of a search and rescue team instead, all good fun
Burns Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 i considered it, but i don't think i could put up with the abuse that you'd get and i'd want to hit some little shites with my truncheon
Daggle Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 I fookin hate the pigs me, there all nazi's
orionmojo Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 I fookin hate the pigs me, there all nazi's here here!
Slik 50 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 From a civilian's point of veiw I think comunity police are a good thing as we have quite a few around me and we see more of them than we do "real" police. A police pressence anywhere is better than none whether it be "Real" or "Wannabe" police. Im all for the community and say if you want to do it, Do it mate and good on ya for giving something back
Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 27, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 27, 2007 I fookin hate the pigs me, there all nazi's fpmsl ..... but I bet you hate Hobby Bobby's more
Daggle Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Nah, I have been very grateful to see a special when Im in the High Street dealing with a pub fight
3.0s Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 i was/am thinking of joining the thames valley police at 18 going into (cant remember name but its the road wars bit) lol at the moment i am a member of the red cross and prob will go into paramedic or advanced paramedic at 21
trakevlyn Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 I was a special for nine and a half years with Surrey police in and around Godalming and i recomend it to anyone because if more people did you wouldn't get comments like" the police are all pigs".
fezza Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 I thought about doing it before as a way of getting my foot in the door, does anyone know if being a hobby bobby( @Jo) could lead to getting into the police full time
trakevlyn Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Its not a direct way into the regular police but its a bloody good insite into the job and looks good on the application form and you get to see whether your suited to the job as its not all car chases and murders
3.0s Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 I thought about doing it before as a way of getting my foot in the door, does anyone know if being a hobby bobby( @Jo) could lead to getting into the police full time i would say it would help
3.0s Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 its thames valley's Proactive Team i would like to join
Daggle Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Of course it will, it's a great experiance and you can do it in your time that way you get to see if its for you
J_mk1 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Ive been looking into it, ok so you dont get paid but i got free time and want a challenge. has anyone else thought about this or even done it? Course the other option is TA... and you get paid for that!
Burns Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 pigs a well made and concise point there jayson
Tom Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 its not all car chases and murders tell me about it. my missus is in the child abuse investigation team (hate them too jay?) and the amount of real nasty, nasty people she has to deal with makes my skin crawl. good on her tho i couldn't deal with it.
