Awesome Al Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Mate, its not what they advertise that thyre selling you, I spent £130 on front & rear screen, boot rubber, door rubbers and some window brushes for my Anglia and what they sent me was a load of standard rubbers from a roll, none of which fitted anywhere near the way that the originals did - the boot rubber on an anglia is like a large square with an oval shaped aperature in the middle, to keep out the water from under the boot lid and likewise the door rubbers are shaped to fit the on door. What they gave me was a roll of rubber strips that could have been from any modern car and fited to thye door aperature instead, but weasn't shaped so it would have left water sitting in all the gaps and rotted my car out. The door window brushed were longer than the actual doors and thicker than the slots they are meant to go in, so even if I cut them they wouldn't have fitted. Even more confusing was that there were no instructions on fitting them. When I called him to ask how they are supposed to be fixed he said I should have asked for a tub of adhesive, which when I called to pay he didn't mention and when questioned about the brushes he askerd me if I'd asked to purchese the clips to fit them, which wasn't advertised or mentioned, despite the fact that if the brushes too thick then extra clips wouldn't fit in place, unless I hacked the inner frame of my door! When questioned that they weren't as advertised and that it would make a mess of my restoration he shrugged it off and asked about adhesive he told me to go and buy some super glue from B&Q. As it was I was not happy and returned all the items except the windscreen & rear screen rubber which did fit and were desperate for, although I had to return to Autoglass twice before it stopped leaking. The rest I wrote a letter with asking him to refund me my £70 outstanding for the parts he sold me under false pretences and posted them by recorded delivery so there is no way they did not get to him. That was about nine months ago and I didn't get a reply. Grade A Cu*t. Well my negative post realy got things goin here, i had no clue that thay were as bad as this & judging by the above post which cracked me up, i think we had a lucky escape, thankfully my wa*ker dar was workin well that day, i also take great pleasure knowing this hole post has cost the twat hundreds maybe thousands of pounds, huurraahh 4 wa*ker dar!

105Nick Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Maybe we should all do a run out sometime and all drop in for a visit and ask for our money back collectively, he wouldn't be able to shrug it off and escape the consequences then, and I'm sure it would f*ck up huis reputation big time if he does it from home and gets a whole club of angry customers outside As soon as I got them I joined up for the Anglia Owners Club, getting my escort stuff from the Escort Agency. The magazine I work for just pulled a big advertiser from the pages unless he sorts out his bussiness, I've heard complaints from people regarding East Kent for a while nd I think that the publishers should be aware of what they are advertising andf take more responsibility, for the reputation of the magazine.
Doc Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 This is not a one off, I enqired about his stuff on 105Speed.com fourum and there must have been a dozen angry people with simalar storys to tell. Jay_harrier Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 I ordered some seals last week before this thread appeared & I tried to cancel but he didn't answer. Because he was so slow processing the order my card had expired - funny how quick he was to ring me... So, there has to be someone out there who makes decent seals - I have no problem paying more if they do the job. Any suggestions?
