Mk1 would be a standard TWINK or a mk2 would be a full rally spec BDG two extremes I know but look at this way mk1 twink how many people have one and the same applies to the mk2 BDG. There's to many mexis and RS2s and lookie likies kicking about, your the same as everyone else then and that's not me.

As for you Col owning either mentioned cars you wouldnt pass the vetting criteria to own an escort, youre just not cool enough!

I do but wouldn't want them, my pref would be the two stated. Did have a look at the RS2000 on the RS owners club stand which was an unbelievable piece of kit, but you couldn't do anything with it it was so good. So what's the point. I've enough museum pieces with the mississ don't need any more.

I've enough museum pieces with the mississ don't need any more. i know what ya mean. i do love original old cars but i just dont get the whole concourse thing. last time i went to the RS owners day there was a stunning RS2000 turned up, on a trailer, cover over it, steelys on, rolled it off, jacked it up, put alloys on with cn36 tyres and then lowered it onto pieces of wood! then did it all again when it was home time. put me straight off concourse show cars. theyre made to be driven or whats the point having the car. 1

Completely standards or flat out bonkers. Things start to look wrong if it's 1/2 way between one and the other.Here's my Mk 1 van compared to my track day Capri.
