Youve got to like that? looks fantastic, apart from the big wheels and subaru mudflaps! i dont mind stripped out interiors with buckets or rst reccys. i just said it was nice to see an escort with an escort trim. theres a mk2 near me with an s2000 lump in, and ben with the mk1 escort estate with the s2000 turbo lump also lives near me. both cars go like stink but if i was to have a honda engine it would either be in a lawnmower or a honda. i just think a ford aint really a ford if it aint got a ford engine.

Cosworth is a pinto, they are ford but fettled by outside companys using some bits and adding their own twist? Were the first millingtons na cossy based?

Were the first millingtons na cossy based? as usual lotus nick somebody elses engines. and cosworth yb is a ford engine tuned by a propper tuning company. it does also still have a ford badge cast in the cam cover. warrior also, a pinto with a head by a tuning company. millingtons were based on pintos until they made enough money the manufacture theyre own. and although they look like a copy of a yb, they arent a ford engine. thats why they cant race them in historic rallying, the engines for historic rallying have to be period and ford. obviously if you race a ford.

If it's the same one, I believe it has a pair of Evo seats that look good in it. Good standard of finish to the car through out. 1

Ok then Mr can opener, we've established that a cossie engine is a pinto with a superior head? Is it ok to change induction from a single carb to twin carbs, without it becoming modern? If it is why does it become modern by changing from carb to turbo? Turbos and superchargers have been around for a long time.

Turbos and superchargers have been around for a long time. twin webers will never become modern, its just a shame the younguns today dont know how they work or what they are along with dizzys, webers have been used on race engines since the 1930s so problems with twin webers! iven seen fords with delortos, solex and one for col even nikki carbs. as for turbos they were produced and used on planes and old diesel engines. superchargers are from mad max but great big yank V8s. i dont mind any of them in the right car.
