Admin Mk2Jo Posted March 2, 2007 Admin Report Posted March 2, 2007 Well, I felt I just had to say the following about Burton Performance: I rang on Monday to order my new carbs and spoke to a bloke called Guy who was cocky and unhelpful ... I came off the phone wishing I had gone elsewhere for them Now, whether it's cos I'm a girlie or not I don't know but he was offish with me Anyway, Colin (v6col) is waiting to fit them to my nice shiny new engine and so I rang them yesterday to see where they were and spoke to Chris who was sooooooo helpful, very friendly, very chatty and a thoroughly nice chap Just thought I would say that if you need to order anything from Burton's, ask to speak to Chris ... he loves the Old Skool Motors and is very, very helpful Carbs should arrive today ... just waiting for the TNT lorry to turn up

Slik 50 Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 i cant stand rude customer service too I cant stand rude customers I had a bloke come into the shop on tuesday asking for a battrey for a "93 saab 900". No probs I said we carry them in the shop. He turned up, took the battrey, sorted! His wife rang up and started kicking of because WE gave her the wrong one as the terminals are the opposite way round,. O.K. yes Im sorry, You will want one for the 94 onwards saab 900, bring it back and we will sort it out. The battrey was exchanged. Everyone was happy The next day she rang up calling me stupid because I gave her the wrong one again I had a right go, telling her to bring back the battrey we will refund you and get your battery from some other f**ker She brought it back along with her original battrey that wasnt ment for her car. The recomendation for her car was around 530 cranking amps, the one she had on it was 735 Her car wasnt a 900 it was a 9000. She was a right f**kin w*nker. She apologised about her manner on the phone and realised some previous owner of the car may have swapped the battery for a bigger one and that she would like to take a battery that was an equivalent to the one she originally.

happysnappy Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Been dealing with Burton Power for many years but was let down recently by them My wife ordered a Quaife quickshift for my Christmas but when i fitted it to my car it went straight into reverse instead of first gear. I had to take it back out of gearbox which if anybody who owns a mk1 with an RS centre consol knows is a real pain. Anyway it turns out a clip was missing from the gearstick, i asked for some stickers as a goodwill as i had to pay over £7 postage to send it back for repair. Was told no problem but quess what, nothing. At least gearstick sorted
