deltamal Posted August 28, 2018 Report Posted August 28, 2018 I'm swapping the 38 DGAS carb on the 2.0 Pinto fitted to my Crusader for a Webcon retroject 38/38 Throttle body, any recommendations for an ECU engine management system?
Admin Vista Posted August 29, 2018 Admin Report Posted August 29, 2018 Who is doing this for you Malcolm? I have been toying with the idea of a set of these for the RS.
deltamal Posted August 29, 2018 Author Report Posted August 29, 2018 Hi Scott, I will get Graham (Rawspeed) to fit and tune it all, he did a top job with converting the Mk3's Cologne engine, fitting the induction, throttle body's and linkage etc, then set it all up on his rolling road, fitting throttle body's in place of carbs makes a huge difference to the overall performance and tractability, well worth doing! 1

The one at the link I attached shows £1120 + vat for a pair Your linky doesn't work for me (XP PC) so did a search and found them on an Alfa site ....... Burton's are nearly as dear! ....... http://www.burtonpower.com/jenvey-2x45mm-heritage-dcoe-throttle-body-tdp45.html
Admin Vista Posted September 1, 2018 Admin Report Posted September 1, 2018 The Jenvey site describes a pair for £1263. That Burton's link describes a pair in the text and then says each at the price. Confusing! https://store.jenvey.co.uk/throttle-bodies-and-components/throttle-bodies/heritage-dcoe/heritage-twin-tbody-40-48mm-pair-tdp40-48
Admin Vista Posted September 1, 2018 Admin Report Posted September 1, 2018 Looking at their full store listing showing one as £620, I reckon the price I stated us for a pair https://store.jenvey.co.uk/throttle-bodies-and-components/throttle-bodies/heritage-dcoe/
deltamal Posted September 2, 2018 Author Report Posted September 2, 2018 Any recommendations for ECU's?
DT36 Posted September 2, 2018 Report Posted September 2, 2018 I think you won't go far wrong with an Emerald K6 for a Pinto. Speak with Dave Walker as he probably has all the base map setups for your build spec.
deltamal Posted September 3, 2018 Author Report Posted September 3, 2018 Thanks for the info, its not being fitted till November so got a couple of months to sort it........
SmokeEm Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 I 100% agree - It has to be Emerald 1
