Diff oil change

When I bought my Quaife LSD it came with an advice sheet that said to run it in gently for 100 miles and then do an oil change. My mechanic said he wouldn't bother. What do you guys think?

I’ve changed mine a couple of times and be honest it’s come out as clean as it went in ! Mine has somewhat of a harder life than yours. It’s a good way of getting rid of any debris it may have produced during its settling in period.

Personally I think your mechanic needs re-training. 

There will always be wear in debris from a new set up and therefore I'd change the oil.

Thanks Vista. I'm no mechanic so it's good to get a second opinion.

Didn't put an lsd in mine.... but had all new bearings fitted and guy advised me to do 100ish miles and drop the oil. Good advice imo
