didn't know that there are two types.

flat, my car has two clocks dash. Currently I have a mini one, works but not the correct look.

There are several different designs, I have even seen variations in the number of beams of light depicted on the light switch. Classic trim do a re-manufactured type of one of the designs take a look and see if its similar to the one you have?

There's quite a few variations of both the early and late types. The later ones can have a flat or curved back. The curved back ones are those that go under the dash on 6 clock equipped cars.
