Has anyone put a Jag engine in their car?

Ive seen it done on a Manta, 4.0 straight six, mabey a 4.2, seemed like quite a good idea, if you dont mind not using a traditional unit.

Raced a Ford powered Jag @ Swaffham 2.8 manual..Hard and fast....

Shame about the alloy hubs though 2 big side hits finished the car

As for Jag engine into fords,To big to heavy and there are a lot better ford engines out there. . .

Says the man with a Vauxhall powered Ford :lol:

As Neil said, Jangula, and there were LOADS of Ford Pops around in the 60s and 70s with Jag straight 6 fitted, most were for Drag racing but there were a few that were on the road.

Have a look on here, there are loads of drag racing photos right back to the 60s in england

My missus's uncle put a Jag straight six and rear axle in a mk 1 Escy years back, was quite a well known car back in the day, got in custom car and car and car conversions etc in the 70's and early 80's. Was a proper flying machine apparently 8)
