I recently found a great windscreen company that carried out some work on my Escort.

I thought I would post something up here for any related fitments or issues regarding glass, etc.

Very experienced and knowledgeable with all types of classics.
They are Gemini Windscreens in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
John the proprietor, undertakes the work on all classics.

Cheers

Strangely I have found since Brexit its not so much the prices of items has gone up but that postage prices have gone up immeasurable. Im talking at least double to trippled. Given I was never in the EU before or after Brexit I cant understand why postage costs to here have been so adversely affected.

Yes I think a lot of companies saw an opportunity to price gouge on shipping costs "claiming" it was Brexits faults and they didnt bother to distinguish between Europe and other parts of the world. In reality their costs never changed.

Brexit made trading (buying and selling) with UK more expensive. But everything got a lot more expensive sometimes for a legit reason (raw materials costs have gone up) or the (unstable) situation in the world.

But that does not explain the rise in postage costs as you point out; for years I made an Escort calendar in A2 size (40 x 60 cm). In the early years postage for a calendar to Australia costs 6,16 Euro! Ten years later and posting the same calendar would cost 38,50 Euro  🥵
