I like that, good to be different,.

If the stars aligned, a MK2 RS2000 is probably the only other Ford Classic I'd sell the Mex to get....

Yep, prices are mad these days, I miss the days when the cars were relatively cheap and affordable to the average fella.

I used to love the excitement of buying Autotrader and spending hours looking at MK2 Mexico’s and RS’s between 800-2,000!

How didn’t we know? 🤦‍♂️

I remember back in 1986 looking at a couple of Daytona yellow Mk1 Mexico’s, one was £800 and the other £1200, my dad advised me to buy the cheaper one as I shouldn’t spend so much money on an Escort, it turn out to be more rotten than it looked, I did see the other one about around a year later and it still looked immaculate!

Incidentally, I sold mine for £400 as a restoration project.

I also remember buying the Exchange & Mart and drooling over the cars for 2k plus that were out of my price range!

400 🤣 we’ve all been there. We would all be millionaires now if we’d kept them.

I sold this for a grand, well mum did. I was shipped off to Bosnia on recon. When I came back 2 years later it was gone! Here it is washed in our council  cul-de-sac, I never saw it again.

When I asked her, the neighbours complained love, so I sold it 🫨.
RIP mum I’m still fuming with you 🤣
