Something strange though since using forums more and more hence typing more and more i not only don't use text speak i also type in a way i would never talk, like writing is not or does not instead of isn't or doesn't which is how i would say it, making more typing instead of less sort of Anti text speak! One word i do shorten is Deffo as i can never remember how to spell deffinatley (sp?)

ALL4SHOW Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 ive got 2 teenage daughters that use it on there phones & msn (plus that has daft styles aswell ) but i think its down to habit (plus they all know what they mean ) even talking to them can get a bit confussing sometimes cos you have to TRY & keep up with the latest slang & when there mate are round but my brothers in law 18 & 21 F**K ME i think they should come with a translater or subtitles they sound like there drowning half the time

Actually that's a bit harsh - i hate text speak - understandable in a text message - but if there is that much to get across why not ring the person Ok in moderation but I'm obviously getting old 'cause it drives me mad

Come on, it cant take THAT much longer to write 'mate' on a phone compared to m8 because you have to press the 8 button 3 or 4 times anyway! Text speak is shit and belongs to the chavs. INNIT, BOI!!!
