Dreading spring and summer taking the car out. Some real horror stories about.

I have never, ever seen the roads as bad. I nearly came to an untimely end a coupe of weeks ago out on my bike. Someone will seriously injured or killed.

Last week I was all over country working. It’s a pandemic, they are everywhere. Government would rather send millions abroad and spend money on hotels. Meanwhile, the motorists are shafted ! The country is a shambles.

I agree, down here in Cornwall the roads are really bad and there seems to be little money available for proper repairs, my daily drive is a Focus ST with 19” rims meaning rubber bands for tyres, there is still a lot of standing water on the roads that hide the potholes and I’ve had a few of those horrible sounding thuds as I’ve hit one!

Agreed!
Near us some roads seem 'ok', but others less than half a mile away are shocking, DEEP 3-6 inch holes that will kill your wheel/tyre, and conveniently hidden disguising themselves as a simple puddle.

I've warned my newly driving 17 year old lad to even try to avoid puddles round here just to be safe.

Sadly, it might take a high profile death for the Government to actually take it seriously.

Agreed mate. My daughters just passed her test, I’ll remind her about the puddles. Yes unfortunately, some poor soul will end up seriously maimed or dead. Clearly, this shit pot of a government have other priorities.
