Dom Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 hey guys I'm swapping the suspension and brakes on my capri to coilover bilsteins and vented discs, the only problem is I can only find one decent 2.8 caliper. Will cossie 4 pots fit under my 13" steelies? Also what are the threads for the caliper mounting bolts as I need to space them out and get longer bolts. Many thanks
escort21 Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Won't fit mate, princesss 4 pots only just clear 13"ers
Dom Posted March 17, 2007 Author Report Posted March 17, 2007 Oki doki. Right well they don't fit my steelies thats for sure, I can take a smidge off the outside of the caliper to fit my 13" alloys. Does anyone know the thread so I can get some longer bolts?
Dom Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 Right i've got a new idea! I can't fit cossie disks and calipers as they are too big, so! I can shave a little of the cossie calipers and fit them under the 13's i've got but the only problem is the 2.8i vented discs are too small for the calipers and as such it's abit of a waste of time. Anyone know of any discs that are bigger than 2.8i ones and fill the calipers nicely?
Admin Vista Posted March 18, 2007 Admin Report Posted March 18, 2007 From memory, 2.8i vented discs are 247 mm, diameter, this gives a pad overhang problem when you use princess 4 pots on them. Rally Design subsequently introduced a 257mm disc to combat this. Will this sort your problem out? RD part no for them is as follows Plain PR257 X-Drilled PR257D
4parajon Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 What you need mate are 260mm dia discs or even better 275mm ones, the 260mm ones are a Granada item, there's generally some on gaybay for sale, if memory serves though you have to machine the hubs to get them in.
Dom Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 Cheers guys, aren't Granada's all 5 stud though? Or do you mean the later scorpios?

I got mine from Tickover.
