I think they are frowned upon in this day and age mate, but i gotta say i think I'd take the chance, beasty OSf in white with blue tiger stripes and blue ford motorsport stickers Now thats keeping it OSF
Jay_harrier Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Do you remember the Bailey RS2000 both before & after the x-pack? It's a shame the old mags died/changed, Fast Ford, Triple C - I've got tons of triple C from the late 60's early 70's when Gerry Marshall was out in the Firenza up against the RS1600's, Capris, Minis etc. We have retro & classic ford I guess but they don't have the motorsport bias. For the nippers out there, a Firenza or two... Not Ford but still old skool - I'd have one! (along with a Chevette HSR, Sunbeam Lotus, Fiat 131 Abarth....)

Nettles Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Found these photos in one of my old Fast Cars magazines from back in the early 90’s. The top photo is from an article were they pitched a MK2 Cosworth against a MK5. Unfortunately I’ve lost some pages from the mag and don’t have the spec on it. I don’t think it’s the same MK2 that shown in RETRO AL’S photo. I fell in love with this motor when I was a teenager. I think the tiger stripes are timeless and it would be great to see someone’s OSF with them on today.
escortmad79 Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 That one's still around, still with the quad light but lacking the zebra stripes. Got a few pics of that from mags cut out & stuck on the wall, one doing a tasty burnout
puddy Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Baileys RS2000!! 600+bhp Always quoted nearer 500bhp,T04 on pump fuel A fookin legend all the same tho puddy
105Nick Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 No Zebra stripes don't do it for me. The Firenzas look awesome, be nice to have a droop snoot wide arched one with a Chevy small block in. There's a group 4 wide arched Manta coupe round the corner from my uncle's with triangular vents cut in the bonnet and a brace of Cibies, looks mental. I was in Hastings the weeknd, and round the corner came a standard original Chevette, looked really nice.
