Guest M.Bird DOHC Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 If it was that low would the oil light not of come on?

atomic punk Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 My oil light always used to be flashing on an off it peed oil out almost as fast as I put it in
flyingbanana Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 my old engine used to piss the oil out the back has soon has i started driving.....went through alot of oil....you had a lucky escape....my sister managed to blow a big hole in side of the van engine when she had no oil in it
v6pop Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 If the oil light comes on at speed its normally to late....usually immediately followed by a knocking noise
Guest M.Bird DOHC Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 i thought all fiesta's made a funny knocking noise anyway...................... Oh sorry thats just the tappets!
James HPE Motorsport Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Dont forget that oil light is to indicate oil pressure loss, not that you are low of oil!!! Pretty darn lucky there sonny!!!
john_3.0s Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 I half ceased up a 1300 crossflow on the M27 once through lack of oil but It kept going for another 10k! I even bought another engine as I was convinced it was going to die on me - good old fords
