  4. You missed the qualifier "if" 😉 Besides, I'd get disemboweled if I spent that kind of money on a "project"
  5. Last week
  6. Get it bought then. 😉
  7. Honestly though, people have fixed worse & the price is more attainable than most 2-doors. Never be concours but I can see it being brought around as a "driver" if it doesn't end up donating shell cuts to rally brigade. If I had the itch for a 2-door like I used to as a kid I'd seriously consider that.
  8. And good with prayers 🤣

  10. 800-odd miles down & we're looking reasonably OK as far as resurrecting the old girl goes. Recording over 30mpg on the onboard display (I would say more like 25-27 but still better than expected). Some small niggles since going back on the road, thermostat failed no biggie, radiator has a couple of *small* leaks when cold (one from a tank joint & another around the g/box cooler line) but no appreciable loss just the odd drip, gearbox would definitely benefit from fresh fluid & filter and we have the blower/AC to fix but other than that she's a comfy interesting old barge. Hoping to get a day at the seaside soon, let's hope my underseal keeps the salt air at bay!
  11. Agreed, no need to use telescam for anything IMO. Bank transfer or paypal (and buyer covers the fees) are about the only way I'd do business with someone unknown to myself.
  12. I spoke to my bank about my same concerns and they basically said that they wouldn't protect me when using this service. I was lucky as the seller was a genuine honest guy and I had no issues but I probably wouldn't do it again as it stressed me out and I've recently had issues locally being a victim of fraud, only a small amount but once bitten twice shy as they say.
  13. Excellent. Can you tell me how this works and if there is a risk of fraud involved?
  14. Yes
  15. Hi, has anyone had experience with making a payment via Telegram?
  16. Ive been practising a contorted key reach around and switch the engine off with the bonnet up just trying to locate the sound, yes you are right part of the sound is the throttle body but the sound that has lowered its pitch since last week does appear to be the Power Steering pump that is hidden under the drivers side front Guard. The car has a fluid leak and I suspect the lowering of the sound it may require fluid. I can see the cap for the reservoir through a tiny slit in the inner guard but there is no way to check or even reach the cap from above! Why do they design modern cars with even the fluid top ups as inaccessible!
  17. Egr valve on a Diesel Throttle body on a petrol
  18. Hmmmm I noticed that really the sound its coming from the front engine bay not behind me where the tank and fuel pump is. Thats got me curious now. In these modern(ish) Fords, what pump or whatever can you hear powering down when you turn off the engine? Google suggested it much be the throttle body actuator? Or possibly the power steering pump?
  19. Try Autodoc ( German Business )or Parts in Motion, ( UK Business ) they sell known make parts , and a good price too, Internet based.
  20. My Mk2 2.0L Focus' fuel pump has started making lower pitch noises when powering down the last few days. Im guessing its blocked or on its way out. Any good euro made brand of fuel pumps you can recommend? I can get some as cheap as 40 quid equivalent for a Chinese one but willing to spend a bit more for something that lasts. I stumbled across the Autostar brand they claim ins German but dont actually say if the Brand is German but still made in China? lol Thanks
  21. Earlier
  22. I contacted MK3 cortina club and they passed the details to the MK 4 club and somebody is coming to look tomorrow, also found 5 x 14" MK3 escort 5 spoke alloys in the rafters.
  23. I think the grille is from MK3 escort
  24. Sure someone local will clear the lot out free of charge.
  25. Definitely a I've got person we have one here over 30 escort and capris just left to rot doesn't do anything to them and won't sell anything.
  26. Nice mainly cortina parts pair of Sierra rear smoked lights mk2 escort and van rear units
  27. Just spent the whole of yesterday clearing out the garage and have filled a 12 yard skip. Only issue is Dad lived in Dorset and I live in Essex. Will need to either move it before Monday or try to cram it all into my old Fiesta and take it home
  28. Agreed. As with any old car there are horror stories. Mines from SA so christ knows what’s in there😳😂 I’m sure Graham U found a mummified mouse in his head lining 🤣
