    Hi as a intro. I worked for two Ford dealers in Sydney NSW Australia from 78 through to mid 80'S prior to this was the kid coming in on the weekend washing/pre-delivering cars for these Ford dealers (Helps if you grandfather was one of the managers) During this time was picking up "specials" from the Sydney Homebush plant and then do the Dealer at Homebush prep area and then running in for predelivery. Mainly for Aust govt companies but also some "funnies" we would get put together. We used to pick up some cars direct from the plant, drive them 500-750km in one direction and then drive them back. So, they were delivered "Run-In". Then we would then do predelivery detail and Pickup/Drop off or trailer load the cars out. Cars/Vans/Utes/Trucks anything that ford Australia sold. My 1st Ford Drive car was a mid 79 yellow 4dr RS2000 with the Ford AVO parts in it (funny bits) and including A/C!! The car was a demo with all the Ford options ticked, it even had a tow bar. My 1st personal car was a 70 Orange Escort mk1 1300XL, then a 72 Blue Escort 1300XL with 1600 in it, then a MK2 2l Ghia, on from this was a couple of Ford Falcons, Cortinas, Lazers. Last year I have purchased a 0480 MK2 RS2000 4 Door in Orange (yes 4 Door) and 2 Months ago have a 0180 MK2 RS2000 2 Door in Red. The 4 door is complete, running with a mild cam pinto engine, extractors, Std Weber carb in it. It's a nice driving car reliable used to just putt about will cruise at 120kph. I have the matching no's engine under rebuild and pic of car attached. The 2 door is a rolling shell with matching numbers engine, Gearbox, Diff not interior ...yeap nothing ... bit of rust...it needs a full rebuild nut / bolt . I am currently gathering parts getting body prepped. Thanks for the admit .

    European Capri Post meeting Speyer Germany. The very last Speyer meeting ever, as the organisation has health issues so after 32 years the final. And a final it was with 419 Capri's from all over the world on display from mild to wild. Even an extremly rare Ferguson 4x4 Capri mk1 3000 was on display. That Capri is a wolf in sheeps cloth. I had walked by the whole day and I only saw a perfectly restored mk1. till someone pointed out that I should see the bottom. Fully independant suspension 4x4 as Ferguson made the street version back in the day. It seems Ferguson made 17 total of them, with three for rally purposes. Longest travel distance was 1560mile with a Capri to the event. I am attending this event since the first one when there where over 1500 Capri's on display. And as usual its a cabinet of curiosities. Capri's from an era when everything was possible and alowed to do so, and most owners still own them after decades. Proper Old SKool. Old Skool Ford was signed in for camping. Dutch Crew (JP, Linda & Michel) was there with two Capri's. And traveling with a Classic can be a challenge as we experianced. We left with our Liqui Moly Zakspeed 3.0 RS, got back home three hours later with a shot frontwheel bearing. Repacked all campstuff in our Mercury Capri who devloped a uge loss of power after 50 miles, so back home again. Checked evrything twice, couldn't find anything wrong as it was suddenly running perfectly so up to Speyer again. Usualy a 280 mile trip about 4 ½ hours, but it became a 620 mile trip in twelfe hours. But we got there with no fuzz. Glad we where there on the final Speyer meeting. It was one to remember.

    So it's insured again. And taxed. Test was to be tomorrow but my son needs to see a surgeon, at the same time but 2 hrs away so test got pushed back. First trip out to a local show was fun and fraught 🙄🙄🙂 First a wheel starting coming loose. A retighten sorted that. But then at the turnoff for the Show, in heavy traffic, I stalled it. This is when I discovered the battery is no good. Yah!!🖕😲😄 Was pushed off the road. Borrowed some leads for a jump start and got into the Show. Forgot on leaving to give back the leads so I contacted the Club to get them to him. All in all it was a fun day The car was not really ready to "show" but I wanted to get out of the house. It's getting lowered, painted and reshod over the Autumn! Cheers for reading it you made it this far.

    Got it! Thanks @Miniliteman! The UPS quote seemed extraordinarily low given we had been getting high quotes for months. But it arrived quickly and in perfect condition thanks to Leons great packaging. To my surprise UPS operates here in Australia and was delivered by one of their own trucks, so they do operate in Australia which I didnt know about. It made a stop in China for them to Xray it apparently. I would have though it needed to be Xrayd after being stopped in China personally! It wasnt delayed that much though and came in less than a week. Its a weight off my mind as I had promised to buy this grill months ago and couldnt find anyone to ship it at a reasonable price. Thanks to Leon for being so patient.
