When I have sold on flea bay I write full on war and peace, I tell everything warts and all, and I tell them about collection, deposit and collection. If they can't for fill the criteria don't bid! And with doing warts and all I have never had anyone turn up and say "I did not realise that a 10 year old car would have the odd blemish"! I also take really good pictures, high quality in a good setting. I hate it when people have pictures upside down or on the side. Flea bay allow you to rotate pictures when your loading them. And also people who load the smallest pictures without the option of up sizing them! Rant over! Oh and another thing...........people who put make an offer option, then never respond to the offer in 48 hrs - why bother if your not going to respond! Oh oh and people who bid and then retract the bid 2 days later with the excuse "I entered the wrong amount".........impossible because you get asked to confirm the amount twice............half the time it because they have just got back from the pub, or they want to see what the reserve is! Oh oh oh............no that's enough

Steve Just a thought, get your self down to box hill next Saturday the 15th, classic meet starts at 10 am, you never know there may be some stuff on offer as it gets busy. And it's the perfect opportunity to speak to the owner too. Saw your rod on flea bay a couple of weeks ago and thought it looked great. Pete

Like I said I am more than happy on osf, I feel disappointed for all who put in great effort in attending, polishing, cleaning etc to not even have our brilliant stand feature on any of the official photos..............good job I took my camera, and some of the other guys took some great pictures too.

I have seen the classic ford mag gallery, guess what...........no old skool ford cars! And there they were going on about the 40th anniversary of the mk2 escort, and how we could not go on their stand with our mk2s if we were on the osf stand. Now I have no issue with having my mk2 on osf, but at least send your photographer over to the stand to take some pictures.............They surely can't be filling the magazine with focus and fiesta! Yet another rant over!

You could be right, we had great cars..........All of them, even the lone anglia lol........no all of them were brilliant. It's easy to make a 2 year old car look good, Try it with a 40 year old, or older.........not so easy! We had great foot fall the whole day, but obviously not the fair photographer. Don't think there was enough electric orange or green on the stand.............just the best signal green and signal orange, plus all the others. ........including Mann colours Colin

God I and I thought I collected haynes manuals ..........They will go!

Just viewed the 2015 gallery, both parts, from Sundays show on the official ford fair website. 2 pages and not one of the old skool ford stand! Gutted after everyone put in so much effort to produce their pride and joys in amazing shiny condition. Still we know we have great cars.................fiesta st, focus st are 2 a penny! Always next year

PeteRS8084 replied to Kieran's topic in SHOWS, EVENTS & MEETS
Good luck, you will fit right in if you take that plum out of your gob! I have never met such a posh northerner...............but then again I may be stretching the truth a little. Good luck and enjoy, and remember you work your way in from the outside with all the knifes and forks, no using your fingers, and defiantly no tucking your napkin into your t shirt collar......sorry your shirt collar! -

Mate if your capri is the v8 , which I think it is, that was hammering round the track good on ya, my god it sounded like thor, who I hope was the god of thunder! Brilliant, but me and my Mrs cringed when I told her what you were probably doing to the gallon at full chat. But it did sound a go a treat!

Gutted for them, hope it gets back to them in one piece! -
Think you followed me into ford fair this morning............? If not someone has cloned your car. Nice motor, so brutal. Loved all the coupe fords when I was in Germany in the early 80s. Welcome mate, enjoy the forum and get out and about!
-
Well those of us who drove our smart real cars, and from the field at the back does not count . No honestly there was some really peachy cars on the stand.........escorts obviously!
-
Well done on the gearbox front............and having looked further at the power steering option, I think that motor has to sit the opposite way, I. E. To the right, so would not foul the centre consul? Great too catch up with you, your such a p$€s taker.........but all in good taste. Cheers for the ice cream.......where's my pig! Laters mate

We went. Great weather - Great stand position - Great cars - Great banter ( Colin, great to meet you and your friend who's name escaped me. And Jeff who's lovely mk2 escort mexico was parked next to me, I am well jealous of that Ashton lump!). So Colin next year drive down in an escort (because you love them!) or a Tina. The anglebox would be a great track car! Talking of track cars, those focus RS do sound like a jet fighter going down the straight at full chat! All in all a great day.............roll in next year!

Think everybody.........including cars need to be on stand by 0830hrs latest.
