    Plastic repairs

if your talking about the cash pad part with the foam under the vinyl Colin, IMHO don't waste big money or time trying to repair big splits or holes to look like new/or original, I had one professionally done, with a similar process to that of the frosts system, just for it to just split and open up again with the temperature changes, sat on the shelf in my unit, not sure if they do a mk2 one, but on e-bay for the mk1 you can buy a leather cover, or flocking seems to be popular as well, although I tend to have a personal dislike for that, the problem with covers and / or recovering that I also tried / had done, you then cant get the air vents to fit and / or the clocks, as its all just put over the top, again not sure if they do a mk2 one, but you can buy grained GRP tops for the MK1, alternatively, look out for an undamaged one on flea bay if you look at the Frosts video, the last time I looked, there was also a product you need to buy with it, that they no longer did at that time, and neither could they advise where to get it, so the kit if you like is/was incomplete, unless they've re sourced now theres a very good dash repair man in kent, but he wont do these padded dash tops, only the hard plastics probably why good mk1 ones go for big money, don't know what the mk2 market is like price wise tho

all series 1 had tip fwd seats, series 2 had runnered seats like the mk2, sound like you had/have non mk 1 seats, as none of the E's had head rests that was why I was asking, you have to bear in mind when looking at seats, you don't want tip fwd frames, as you don't have the lock plates on the tunnel

is your 1300E a series 1 or 2 Robby, I'm guessing its a 2 or a changeover going on the colour
  7. then just send him a small tin of red paint, just enough to do the roof with

    naming

that's from a site that sells the strips if I remember, can you give e the link please DT36
  9. the negative one can be bought from Justins ford parts through e-bay as a NOS lead, but its in Australia and you will need deep pockets failing that, buy an old distributor cheap off flea bay, that should have it on it the positive one I had to buy a cheap loom from flea bay and pull it apart for it
  10. whilst Justin is expensive, he does have a lot of NOS parts that you cant get else where, or certainly elsewhere at the time when you want it
  11. e bay refunded my money within hours, because on the Australian system, there was no way to track it once it left Australia, literally only trackable inside Australia, so I would guess you have a waiting game

    naming

right, thanks to Colin (colr6) the purple car has a name, which is purple princess (not that I would call it a princess lol) but its stuck, so I'm looking for a name for the Blue car now, so I can have tacky sun strips made, a bit like in the 70s and 80s with the names on, so I thought I would throw this out here on the forum to see what people can come up with, but im kinda thinking it should start with the word "Blue" to keep a theme a refresher t what they look like
  13. I had the same issue from justins ford parts the chrimbo before this one tbh, I think its an Aussie issue more than a European one tbh RP, took about 2 months to arrive in the end, whereas normal time of year a couple of weeks, I actually put a claim in thru e-bay, and the parcels arrived after the pay out
  14. if you look at the mirrors on mine, pics 2&3 at best look at the sky or the ground, they wont face to look backward in a horizontal position, that's the way the 1300E mirror is/was, they are proper 1300E mirrors and like rocking horse droppings to find look for 1300E pictures on google and you will see these and the position is correct anything else is not a 1300E mirror, they got replaced with other types in the day, because they rotted away, just like the rest of the car
  15. below are the limits of movement if you try to do anything other than what its designed to, pic1, as meant to be, pics 2&3 on its side, pic4, upside down probably why a lot of people put mk2 van mirrors on the mk1
  16. that's the correct mirror and the correct orientation for that mirror on that model unfortunately, agreed, you cant see diddly squat, but you cant make it horizontal either, but tbh the RS bullet mirrors aren't much different vision wise
  17. that unit you see is rented, as at the moment the units I own are rented out, but in 6 months time, one of mine will be freed up, and I will be moving there, as the rents here have just had an enormous rent increase, so its no longer financially viable to both own and rent its a personal let, no business run from it now, I did for a while, so its just their for my cars, again making the financial aspect, less worth renting, when you own one
  18. now let me see, would you get away with that one Colin
  19. tried to get them in the house Nick, but they wouldn't fit thru the door
  20. had a move round today, so I can get ready for a little winter maintenance on the two of them
  21. RS Suspension for your car, to stop you keep moaning at me that it sits too high
  22. Ray

    Nice bed

well you see Nick, I'm not in the market for a car bed, so to sacrifice one of mine wouldn't be financially viable to you, but as you own startdust already, and its already in need of that re-spray, then you wouldn't have the layout for a vehicle to convert, therefore from where your sitting, stardust is the far better sacrificial car
  23. Ray

    Nice bed

    yours can be sacrificed Nick

    HoHoHo!

are you sure your not a Scottsman Colin

    Christmas

just shoot the bastard and do away with it, its only there for the shops to fleece the public for junk they don't normally buy, and it costs businesses a fortune to be shut and having to pay their staff to do bugger all but see the relations they would really rather have forgotten years ago and, pretend to have to be happy seeing them whole damned thing is a farcical joke think of all those turkeys lives we would save
