these are the mk2 group 1 wheels. 75 part number with year date on the backs, ford on the front and ATS on the back. deeper webbing to the spokes and extra webbing at the rear

mk1 escort group 1 wheels were ats, some rs wheels were gkn but not all of them. the capri wheels are same as the rs wheels but the rs wheels have thinner webbing around the wheel nuts. these are the mk2 group 1 wheels, look how deep the webbing on the spokes are, it makes them a stronger wheel.

ive heard a few stories about the higgins chinese shells being ropey. think theyre about 10 grand. those magnum ones from mst look the bollox but then they are hand made on jigs made to fit a proper shell, and theyre double the price.

me too col, it's a pity the number font doesn't match my 120mph clocks or i'd swap it. think i'll just keep them anyway, they've been wrapped up in loft for 20 years so they're not in the way.

so i decided to take the rev counter out for a look as apparently these aren't from a mk2 escort, and talk of them being mk3 escort. well everything fits as it should, no bodged or cut parts. 74 and 78 part numbers. some if anybody can check part numbers then that may shed some light.
