    You could use a mk2 cortina type not sure on size iirc 0.625

    Yes rs2000 had 8 inch brakes no need for discs standard drums will be fine

    There was a narrow English axle on eBay recently 46inch I think you could narrow your escort axle but you need to get shafts shortened (friction welded) or new ones made

    Yes that’s a mk3 cortina pinto bracket the rs2000 one has rubber bushes and lower mounting fuse box is Escort
