Mk2 for sale in Belgium. Although one could appreciate the exterior, colour coding the interior makes you want to throw up. -
It could be worse, if she wanted an Austin Maxi 😩

Owner must have ran out of pink paint as some parts are still unpainted.

Wanterd - Mk2 Escort Boot lock locating washer
Miniliteman replied to Rally Pack 2000's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD PARTS WANTED
Looked into that some time ago as I wondered about it too. The parts book and also the latest microfiche only list one version for the rear lights. But I noticed that only Altissimo right hand side rear lights had that odd bolt arrangement. -

The hole in the backing for that special bolt is just 4 mm. Drill it out to 6 mm (carefully) and fit a 6 mm Allen bolt plus an M6 nut at the back of the cluster. Photo is of a black Allen bolt but you can get SS ones. Job done! Unless ofcourse you cannot sleep at night because you have an un-original and modified part on your car. 😲 -

Shaft must be 6 mm or maybe 1/4" . SS bolts and screws for rear lights are here: http://www.escortrs.co.uk/mk2e/mk2e_rearlightbolts.html http://www.escortrs.co.uk/mk2e/mk2e_rearclusterscrews.html -

You can get these almost anymore, not genuine Ford ofcourse. Measure the shaft dia then google "starlock ring" plus the diameter. About 10p each. -

Will add a photo of the block with a yellow circle. If you look in the centre of that circle you see that the thread starts out of nowhere. It is the beginning of the helicoil.
-
Compared an M12 bolt, a 1/2" UNF bolt, a 1/2" UNC bolt and an oilpressureswitch with 1/4 NPT thread. Plus from all the above (measurements and photos) me thinks the block has had a NPT helicoil. If you fit one and the hole it goes into is a bit too small the helicoil will adapt to the hole and becomes a 1/4 NPT - (minus) thread. Fit an alloy (or soft metal) adapter into such a hole will deform the thread on the adapter. Check if it is a helicoil, if it is, take it out, rebore to proper diameter and fit a new 1/4 NPT helicoil.
-
That looks like a helicoil in the block. M12?
-
Then it might be that the thread is 1/2" UNF. Get a 1/2" UNF bolt and see if it fits into the block / adapter. https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/oil-pressure-gauge-t-piece-1-2unf-tp-1-2unf
-
Looking at the damaged thread of the old adaptor me thinks that some of that damaged thread is stuck into the thread of the block.
-
All 70's XFlow blocks have 1/4 NPT thread. Maybe the sensor you have is metric M14. (VDO has M14 x 1.5 sensors)

There were issues when you used Tapatalk for instance. But guess Vista will come around and solve any issues for you.
