  3. When we changed from the old dutch guilders to euros I kept some quarters (kwartjes) in case I needed to use the old pay-phone. Have even some kwartjes from 1948 (Wilhelmina)! Also have a box full of (old) 1-pound coins to use for the Dartford crossing but understand that these are no good anymore 😒
  4. Marcel, your Nokia, what coins do you need to put in it? 🤣

  13. From the RSOC forum: (don't know if there is an RSOC in France) RS Owners Club members can have their car valued by the registrar. The car must be first recorded on the register (see above) after that please follow the steps below; Contact your registrar (by phone) first to discuss your car and arrange a date to value your car. You can find their contact details in the club magazine. You can bring your car to the registrar or it can be valued at one of the shows where your registrar will be attending or another registrar may be able to view your car. Once a date has been arranged for a valuation, please purchase your HPI by following this link https://www.rsownersclub.co.uk/products-page/h-p-i-etc/ The HPI must be dated no longer than 28 days in advance of your valuation being carried out, this ensures valuations are based on the recent and complete information. On the day of the valuation, please ensure you have all relevant History for the car available. After the valuation, your registrar will issue you with a Valuation Form and be happy to answer any questions you may have.
  14. Normally a valuation for insurance purposes needs to be done by a licensed appraiser in person.

  16. Is that a 2.5 V6 from a Granada? It used a single Ford Motorcraft carb but if it now has an inlermanifols for a twin-choke carb (like the 38DGAS) then you could try a Solex 32 EEIT or 35 EEIT carb on that.

  22. Ask anyone (of my age) what their favorite engine sound is and most of them will say the Ford Cosworth BDA (BDG) . There were just a few of BD powered rallycars in 80's over here but I got my "fix" by buying the Sports Seen videos that were advertised in car mags back then, However in 1999 I bought a Motorsport magazine which had a free CD with engine sounds (The Sounds of Goodwood). After listening to that CD the BD had to share first place on my list with the BRM V16 from the 50's. Nick Mason restored such a car and the CD had the pure sound of the first run of that car on a disused airfield somewhere. The sound of this youtube clip was on that CD. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/rRNoRlLlsD8
