That Fiesta had a Zetec inside I believe, so that tacho could well be non-original (as well). If there was a Ford with the alternative facia (with the 0 rpm at 5 o'clock) you could easily remove the needle and the old facia-panel and put the new one in.

Really can understand the higher rates; looked at quite a few cars/engines where the owner didn't say they had try to solve the issue themselves. And only after hours of diagnosing I found the (small-ish) fault. Owner couldn't get his engine with twin carbs to run properly. "No it did run ok before". "No I didn't mess with it". Only to find he had changed one of the CO-screws and the new one wasn't suited to his DCOE's. "Oh but they looked almost the same". 🥵

There are a few genuine rear spoiler that have sold recently: for £157, £251, £350, £210, £66, £275 . And RS dash for £261, £320, £370, £60, £275. About the rev counter, how come the rest-position (0 rpm) is at the 5 o'clock position instead of the 7 o'clock position?

People who pay this kind of money look at it as an investment. And they are afraid to harm that investment so don't drive it (as it should). I look at my car (Mk2 RS BDA) as a "toy" , something to enjoy have fun with. Don't mind if it gets dirty, haven't washed it in years. Been out in it this afternoon, driving in the lanes. Getting out of the car with the cage and bucket seats with a bad back is getting an issue though ...
