  1. Some people (not me) do stupid things. Bought a rare original Ford brochure for the Mk2 RS2000. When I received it in the post it had 4 perforation holes in it. When I mailed the seller that this could not be seen it the photos he put in the ad he said it is easier for me to store it in a binder. Idiot. Sometimes you see for sale ads for headlights or rear lights where the seller has written the make and model on the glass part with a waterproof marker. Try and get that off. Another idiot.
  2. Take the plug of the cold start injector off first so that it isn't working electrically. See if it is better. If not that injector could be leaking, But strange that only 2 cylinders are flooding. Normally that indicates a problem for only those cylinders, like sticking valves or problem with the ignition.
  3. If it has FSH and has no faults / issues whatsoever then there should be interest for it. As there is a forum full of owners who have issues with Jags. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-xj6-xj8-xjr-x350-x358-28/
  4. The K-Jetronic system isn't that complex but without a fuel-pressure gauge it's difficult to diagnose. If you have changed all injectors (incl. the cold-start injector) and the thermotime-switch as a quick check try the following: when it it isn't running properly. Switch engine off and try again. If it isn't running properly, switch engine off and remove fuelfiller-cap and try again.
  5. Nice selfies !
  6. Then they are not Trunk Monkeys! There's a whole series of those adds.
  7. Should have bought one of these! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWejEiJl3dg
  8. Just a quick test for you, how many fingers to you see?
  9. My apologies, you are right. (old age and so ...)
  10. What is the problem? Also try a VW forum as lots of VW's in the day had a Bosch K (or KE) Jetronic system and their mechanics generally knew more about it that a Ford mechanic. https://www.zeepoort.nl/jetronic/K-Jetronic-troubleshooting.html
  11. Fitting -2 inch springs will lead to more castor (and more camber).
  12. My NOS one for a Mk2 RS2 is: length = 30,5 mm, outer dia = 19,0 mm, inner dia = 16,0 mm. Maybe this one could fit: https://www.gartrac.com/collections/escort-mk1-escort-mk2-front-suspension/products/escort-mk1-mk2-twin-cam-roll-bar-sleeve-bush
  13. Yes. See photo in the link (these are polybushes but idea is the same). https://www.burtonpower.com/outer-tca-bush-set-escort-mk1-2-capri-sf0420kss.html
  14. Indeed, a Taunus P7b .
  15. Thanks, those action photos is what I am looking for.
  16. Was going to offer you a NOS rubber ignition lead holder thingy for free but you can forget about that now 😜
  17. You are halfway there, need to file the terminal flat and drill a hole in them !
  18. In the Fiesta? Fellow Dutchman Bert Kok has (had?) twin IDF's on his Mk1 Fiesta. For full feature see Classic Ford magazine July 2012.
  19. Hello, every year I make a Mk2 Escort rally calendar (for my own use, no retail, not trying to compete with other calendars). For next years edition I am after nice, good, high res photos of rally Mk2 Escorts that are free to use (no copyright). If anyone knows a good source for one or more photos please let me know. Regards, Leon.
  20. Yes they are. But at the rear those nuts almost touched the hub/mating face so I took 6 mm or so off.
  21. James, the wheel nuts you received look like the ones used for GP4 wheel for normal wheelstuds. (have these on my car)
  22. They do too. Speaking from experience ... https://www.burtonpower.com/quickshift-gear-lever-quiet-4-speed-rocket-qs24.html

  24. First one has an electric choke second one was an automatic choke but converted to manual choke. All those (cheap) used ones need proper cleaning and checking plus new gaskets.
  25. Yours is a 32DGV (zoom in on the base of carb), the one in oldwheels photos is a 32/36DGV or DGAV with autochoke-mechanism replaced by manual (zoom in on neck of carb, you can see 26 and 27 which indicates the choke size).
