  1. I guess there may be alot out there like that, all with a whole load of replacement panels that are not made by Ford, so whats stops the DVLA and 'experts' saying this to all of them, maybe start dishing out Q plates
  2. Aero has never been the Police strong point, nice air brake on the roof
  3. Is that because they are all being shipped over here I've just taken the zetec conversion out of my RS2 and put a pinto back in, to me its worth more and better with the pinto For my sport (SA import) I did think that being an SA it would never have the resect that the UK cars have so I can change from a kent if I wanted, but I like the kent engine so it will stay. I'm not interested in going stupidly fast in it, just a bit of fun and you can still get parts and good enough power from them
  4. ah, ok, curious now to know what is the definition of old school
  5. Welcome, Its a classic so I'd say oldschool Get some pictures up
  6. I have 2.8 capri struts on the front of the Escort, one is now creaking and groaning so I think I need new inserts so I'm looking for recommendations for what is available at reasonable prices for a road car lowered by 2"
  7. As well as the Escorts, this is my other toy, 1990 VW Corrado 16v, Its running a 2.0 TFSI from a mk5 GTI with the DSG gearbox, everything else has been uprated to match the engine but I wont bore you with the full list
  8. This is mine now, I know the shell is sus but it has all the correct parts on it now. But for the original asking price of 25k, the shell was not the worrying thing 🤣 The funny thing about this is, my SA sport has the original heavy duty shell the RS should have, basically a Mexico with a x-flow
  9. glad you found a reason after all you have done, cheap filters are never a good thing
  10. Imagine Max power mag or Fast car these days, maybe some of the bike mags like easy rider, 🤣
  11. welcome
  12. I had my golf mk6 sat next to a new mini and a mini countryman today and it looked the same size as the mini and smaller than the countryman
  13. 🤣 I remember them, that on one side and the speedo on the other
  14. Has anyone fixed a brake reservoir cap? Mine seems to read low and illuminates the lamp on the switch. I've had a look but not 100% sure how it comes apart or if it does, has anyone had any success repairing one?
  15. Align the twin notch things with the back part of the adjuster then the spring plate should go through the larger gaps. You then rotate the spring plate till it hit the stop, I'll get a picture later
  16. I'm surprised the police even turned up, they dont have any interest in these considered 'small petty' crimes anymore Or was that a plastic 'community officer'
  17. That would be good but as a start, remove these words from their advert "This kit includes everything required for the installation of the famous Escort MK2 RS2000 droop snoot nose grill."
  18. Got my answer, the kit does not come with the top bracket
  19. Has any of you guys bought the RS nosecone metalwork from MST? Mine is a little bent and rusty The photo on their page doe not show the upper bracket and when I called, the guy did not sound 100% when he said its what was in the picture although the advert says all brackets needed to fit the nose I've seen a post from a guy on another forum who said he had a spare top bracket after buying from them which leads me to believe it does come with it but that guy has not been on there on for some time So can any of you confirm if the top bracket is supplied in the MST kit please.
  20. So sorry to hear that, I hope you get it back.
  21. If you are gluing anything in the tank, I would use 3M DP490 https://www.3m.co.uk/3M/en_GB/p/d/b40066473/ We used it on the inside of Peugeot WRC fuel tanks and I have used it to seal a plastic tank when I accidently drilled into it 🤦‍♂️
  22. How about a pair of mudflaps at £165 buy it now https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305438240311
  23. I never realised they had a cap on them screws, looks similar to some used on old VWs
