  2. Wishing a speedy recovery
  3. I think I can just about see that
  4. correct!! I just re-read your previous responses and see you are using the wheel bolts as the reluctor, do you have a working example yet? I assume you will be machining the heads of those studs to all be the same height otherwise you will get bad data from them
  5. Ok, reading a little on it I see they use the ABS for speed But that is for the sensor only, how you mounting the reluctor ring
  6. Ok if you are using it just for speed into a digi dash, although I would also consider one of the inline speed sensors that go in the speedo cable. What are you using for the trigger wheel? Just make sure you dont use it for any for of traction control, I know a guy who did that on an F1 car at a test, driver was told to floor it and let the ECUs control it, the rears spun up but the fronts were not moving so the ECM put more power into the rear wheels till it hit the wall, not sure if there was more smoke from the tyres on the car or from the guy leaving the facility 🤣
  7. I mistakenly didn't use this sites discount code last year, not realising it counted for you guys so this year I'll be sure to use your discount code

    First job

My first job was at 15 in a garden centre, watering plants and carrying bags of John Innes for customers
  14. Glad you found out why, there are alot of good pictures in your builds and it would be a shame to lose them
  15. Thanks miniliteman I had considered using one from an old cable, if I cant get one new then I have also considered a large terminal like in your photo and filing it into the cross shape Shame no one makes them..... yet
  16. I should probably add, the correct + shaped terminals that the old cars came with
  17. I bought a new square post battery for the RS2, does anyone know where to buy the terminals to put on the cables, mine has had the old terminals removed and the round ones screwed on. Thanks
  18. The block from my SA sport has a 711M number but not one I recognise 711M 6015 R34 Anyone know what it is?
  19. I find it quite sad now that the likes of DTM used to be Ford's, Audi's, Merc's, BMW,s, Alfa's, the sort of everyday cars you'd see on the roads but now they have changed them to Astons, Porsche, Ferrari's so its just become another form of GT racing in cars most people cant afford
  20. Very nice, welcome
  21. Having seen the post by Morgan, I made me think that maybe someone may know what happened to my old mk2. Reg was DMF221V, I see it was sorn in 2014 so maybe someone has it. It started as a base model 1.3 pop plus with a lovely red interior to go with the midnight blue paint, but as a mate wrote of his Harrier, I bought that from him and swapped everything over. It then got LEDA rear springs, lowered about 2 inches then lowered further with 1.5" blocks Front had 2.8 capri shocks with 2" lowered Capri springs (3" lower on an escort) Then some **** nicked it and stripped the good bits off and dumped it on its belly, never felt right after that but I did put some more recaros in it and a set of deep steels then sold it I know the guy I sold it to put it sideways into a tree but he worked in a bodyshop so rebuilt it, it then got stolen and recovered again. After that, I saw it on Southend seafront once and I heard it was stored out the back of the local weber dealer, John Mowatts, for a few years WIth mates 4dr in white and o16 sport in black Not the best pick but shows how low compared to the standard mk2's Maybe someone will recognise it
  22. I can't see why you think that, I mean its so tastefully done, I'm sure I had a matchbox toy that looked similar
  23. Wilma for me as well For the star trek, I always preferred Commander Dax from deep space nine to seven of nine
  24. electric cars will have their place but they are not the solution that governments want to to believe, synthetic fuels will have a large part of the market once they get the cost to manufacture them down, that will mean alot of cars will be able to remain on the road because buying a new electric is out of reach for the large majority and second hand looks iffy at the moment, then there is also hydrogen. Manufacturers that I work with have not been keen on going electric since it started, but there are new start up companies that champion them as do the Chinese
