  1. glad you found a reason after all you have done, cheap filters are never a good thing
  2. Imagine Max power mag or Fast car these days, maybe some of the bike mags like easy rider, 🤣
  3. I had my golf mk6 sat next to a new mini and a mini countryman today and it looked the same size as the mini and smaller than the countryman
  4. 🤣 I remember them, that on one side and the speedo on the other
  5. Has anyone fixed a brake reservoir cap? Mine seems to read low and illuminates the lamp on the switch. I've had a look but not 100% sure how it comes apart or if it does, has anyone had any success repairing one?
  6. Align the twin notch things with the back part of the adjuster then the spring plate should go through the larger gaps. You then rotate the spring plate till it hit the stop, I'll get a picture later
  7. I'm surprised the police even turned up, they dont have any interest in these considered 'small petty' crimes anymore Or was that a plastic 'community officer'
  8. That would be good but as a start, remove these words from their advert "This kit includes everything required for the installation of the famous Escort MK2 RS2000 droop snoot nose grill."
  9. Got my answer, the kit does not come with the top bracket
  10. Has any of you guys bought the RS nosecone metalwork from MST? Mine is a little bent and rusty The photo on their page doe not show the upper bracket and when I called, the guy did not sound 100% when he said its what was in the picture although the advert says all brackets needed to fit the nose I've seen a post from a guy on another forum who said he had a spare top bracket after buying from them which leads me to believe it does come with it but that guy has not been on there on for some time So can any of you confirm if the top bracket is supplied in the MST kit please.
  11. So sorry to hear that, I hope you get it back.
  12. If you are gluing anything in the tank, I would use 3M DP490 https://www.3m.co.uk/3M/en_GB/p/d/b40066473/ We used it on the inside of Peugeot WRC fuel tanks and I have used it to seal a plastic tank when I accidently drilled into it 🤦‍♂️
  13. How about a pair of mudflaps at £165 buy it now https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305438240311
  14. I never realised they had a cap on them screws, looks similar to some used on old VWs
  15. If you head away from Ford then maybe a Chevette HSR or Lotus Sunbeam
  16. be good to see how your build comes along

Almost, a nice week with winter sun supporting the pre season test in Bahrain

    My week away

I have a reasonable reason for not working on my car this week, so here's a few photos from my week
  19. Welcome, that looks a nice Anglia but need more photos, and a sweet type 3
  20. Do I remember you were searching for the fuel smell in your car? did you block all the pipes from the tank then seal the filler cap after that? You could need to open one of the vent pipes to allow air into the tank as it uses the fuel The UK tank has the vent pipe at the very top then vents outside the back of the car so no smell goes inside
  21. Apparently the factory was started by some wise men
  22. Thats lucky it was still there. Keep the pictures coming This was mine back in the day, I really wish I'd taken more, better photos of my cars back then
