  1. Ive only heard good things about them, and I've heard from a lot of people that have used them Give 'em a ring. They should be able to tell you there and then if they can ship them.
  2. 1800 non turbo diesel from a p100. Slower than death itself and a tractor soundtrack, whats not to like?? BOB v6 from a bugeye scorpio? Or RB26DETT Skyline lump? Or 2JZ-GE / 2JZ-GTE Supra lumps? Or stick a GM LSx series lump in it? But personally, I think your right on the money with a warmed over 302
  3. I finally managed to get my pics from Monday sorted. A very pleasent meet, top marks for Kee for getting on and organising something. As said, it was heavily FOMOCO and Vag stuff at first, but as the light faded there was a smattering of other marques to oogle over. Escort-osis, and a Cortina Kee and Family VW's lovely Zeph' Its seems I can't halp taking these shots :-[ Bit of dub anyone? Bent8 Capri lolZ Satin brown This was cool, It looked 'done' rather than WIP like it said in the window *SHONKY PIC ALERT* Thats better Too cool *ANOTHER SHONKY PIC ALERT* and then it was dark, and this Manta was spotless And a parting shot There was loads of other stuff, a ratty Jetta, a mint radient red S2RSt and a couple more mk2 escorts, Nizzer and his good lady in the mk2 Golf GTI in the background of some pics, oh yeah, and ofcourse Jon in't Amazon So, all in all a really enjoyable meet. And now I know where it is I'll be making my way down as often as I can, hopefully with a tripod
  4. I got there early, or at least what I call early, and it was already rammed. Lots to see, lots to drool over. I bumped into some familiar faces and took a fair few pics it seems... As you can see, I haven't nailed the long exposure setting yet :-[
  5. How about, we stop worrying, and go for a drive??? Lets face it, if 'they' force us off the roads, at least we won't have to worry about MOT's, VOSA, IVA's, Gatso's and rot in your strut tops
  6. Isn't that the point of eBay? To bid, get out bid, then bid again?
  7. thats dibatable I've had nothing but pleasent dealings with them both. Very helpful, competitively priced and they're both knowledgable where old fords are concerned. It won't be cheap to courier a palletised engine though....
  8. Quality, theres not so many folks like that anymore. Oh, and
  9. Bump for this weekend folks!
  10. Wasn't this one was it? Although, I imagine you'd have said if it was blathered in blue stickers... So, when you coming to the Leeds Cruise or the Yorkshire meet?
  11. Looking doubtful, DVLA says the 'vehicle is not found' Sorry mate
  12. Now thats a plan. I bet you wouldn't even feel it on tow.
  13. Good man. Screw new cars mate, they really are nothing but trouble. Old motors win everytime. Just make sure you keep up to the undersealing. Oh, and I bet your drive looks ace now, something out of the 80's
  14. As said, your car your rules. Although Im not sure what the DVLA/VOSA would say, you'd probably find you end up with a Q plate becasue of the altered monoque Theres nowt wrong with a 4dr by the way, they're positively practical
  15. Its hard to put a price on something like that, personally I think its got to be worth 2.5/3k , if its as clean as it seems that is. Can you get it on a ramp for a good look underneath? Have you taken it for a drive?
  16. Srsly, I want a couple. Where do I go, who do I talk to and how do I pay?
  17. How bad it the Consul? They are gorgeous cars, but a bad one will be heartache. I, personally, would be going back and taking a lot of pics, so you can mull it over and get a few opinions. What are you like at spannering/bodywork if thats what it needs?
  18. Have you got the loom from the Scorp? Or just a complete engine? The V6 is really better suited to capris/granadas, they are a heavy, wide lump. I don't doubt it'll fly, but for everyday, I' d be thinking Zetec. Flog the 24v to a capri owner and find a rear ended earlyish 2lt m0ndeo. You can even find the conversion parts secondhand on ebay to keep costs down. Easy to do, keep the weight down, you'll be a able to get your arms down the side to work on it and parts are more than plentiful. It a winner in my eyes, and its what escRot will be getting next - hopefully
  19. Like Jo says, its nice to see some innocent inter-club rivalary. The only problem is now I want a sh*tbox racing sticker
  20. Yeah, but I bet its been done for the scally-rally or scumball or whatever they're calling it this year. Its a pity though, lets just hope it wasn't something rare beforehand.
  21. I appreciate the skills, time and cash-money that have gone into that, however Im all about the sleepers. So, do we have many Oz members? Because with a bit of time, this \/ could be an absolute scream if you kept it looking like this and went Holden hunting http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ford-escort-460-bigblock_W0QQitemZ170363223939QQcmdZ
  22. Its this Sunday, 3pm in the carpark for the Crofton Arms on Doncaster Road just south of Wakefield. The link to the thread with the postcode and such is in my sig \/
  23. Last Saturday night was the monthly Leeds HotRod, Yank, Classic and generally anything interesting meet. This is every second Saturday of the month and even a big American lifestyle show at Newark showground (pictures to come ) on Saturday/Sunday didn't seem to do anything detrimental to the numbers. I got there late, a combination of working late and SWMBO'd not quite grasping 'rush' : ;D I had a little natter to one of our newest local members steveandhis244 -- guess which car is his.... 'lil minx Told you it was diverse Bull-nose - looked rough, but the cage and buckets said ready Steve's 'giffer-spec' 244 Reincarnation Savoy/Fury/Belvedere? -- Its a Savoy (i think) Hard looking and sounding Morris thou'. Subtle and different. Regular attendee Viva. Awesomely prepped mk2. Not been used in anger though going by the lack of any signs of use Theres some money in that paint. First time I've seen this, looked the part Clean straight mk1, showing just how right BBS's are These P1800's give me the horn, good job SWMBO'd likes them too. This is a peach; right colour, gorgeous interior. Viva getting in the que to leave Stripin' skills Best wheels evAh? Can you guess what they belong to... Underbonnet The 'cock'pit I have seen this a good few times now, still makes me chortle Is it me, or does it look to have dropped out of the sky straight from a 1970 SantaPod fire up lane? Redline tyres, the win. Cartoon Character looks, with cartoon levels of performance B-body love Back-2-'89 Very pretty stockish Beetle Stunning pick-up, making mine look truely grotty That diversity again. and thats your lot for another month, its certainly worth the visit if your in the area - 2nd Saturday eve of every month
