Or if you don't have money coming out of your arse, just get a smaller socket (eg 16mm bolt, use a 15mm socket) and hammer the fecker on to the nut, and voila, instant fix! Getting the nut out at the end can prove tricky however..

Had exactly the same problem, I just drilled it out taking breaks every 30 seconds of drilling or so to avoid excessive heat build up.
