ive chopped springs with no issues if you warm the bottom up an bend them so they locate in the lower cup its even less of a problem also if you wrap a zip tie around the cup an coil they wont dislodge or just warm them up like posse says can you buy spring asisters for normal springs i know you can with 2 1/4 the springs never disloge=no mot failures

i picked something up from a scrappy that was brand new with tags still in the wrapper all it had was a tiny dent on it maddness to throw away useable stuff it just puts the price up on items if it has a fault but safe to use sell it at trade or even at cost then the manufactuer/seller hasnt lost anything an can keep costs down

on the classic ford stand a few years ago there was a orange mk1 rs2000 bubble arch on deep dish rs4's looked the nuts you can buy differant width rs4's so might be able to find some that fit under a std arch a friend of mine has some rs4's on a std arched mk2 they fitted ok i think they were 7" not 7.5"

what a waste they could have cut them up for parts an pannels an saved a few thats left
