i was gonna head off early saturday morning an get there for about half 9ish, if the cars ready

do i need 2 front seats to be officially road legal? or can i get away with just 1? someone said something to me at the weekend that suggested i need 2 to be fully compliant. the reason that i am not going to chance it is because i am an HGV driver and rely on my clean licence for my job, the look and the noise of the car will undoubtedly attract attention and the last thing i want is for PC plod to pull me and start dishing out penalty notices for this, that and the other. any MOT guys out there? p.s before anyone suggests ben, i have already pm'd him and am just awaiting a reply, in the mean time, can anyone help???

i agree with ya jimbob, not enough car suff now, but its coz they dont make enough money just selling petrol and car bits so what started out as a petrol station that also sells a few groceries has now become a supermarket that also has a sideline of selling a dash of motion potion. it is ridiculus, as you say a petrol station when in times of need was viewed as a saviour as they ususally had something you could use to get you out of trouble with. but now they'll sell you a cd to listen to whilst waiting for the RAC

i really hope you get it back doc, don't give up, if say fifty people all turned up at once with you and demanded it back, as you say pay the man for the good work (if any) and if all else fails and it was my car that was refused to be handed back and the legal route was exhausted, then fook it if i cant have it then he wouldn't be having it either, i'd end up torching it just to piss him off. but hopefully it wont come to that. chin up ol' boy

matthew i just read through yer last few posts and you have absolutely no knowledge at all of what you are on about. the lads that could have jobs and are just relaxing speding some of there hard earnt, then why werent they at work half way through the day? were they just innocently bunking off work? get real, you obviously know nothing about how things work here in britain, we pay extortionate amounts of road tax and still have shite roads, trust me on this one i know, i am a lorry driver so i spend all of my 6 day a week working time on britains apaulling roads, and that is something that i know you dont do. you seem to be defending people you dont know, in a situation that you also dont know, all you are doing is creating an arguement between you and other members by your pointless posts. if you have nothing constructive to add, then please dont say anything at all. just stick to your cryptic clue " i'm have done a photoshop, pm me to see it" photoshop posts.

dont stand for this, make a complaint against him to police professional standards, the feds cant stand that department coz they make lives for police officers very hard if they have a complaint made against them. i would say you have a case, as you say your kids were strapped in, and without a mum life would be hard for them so why would you risk it? also his opinion doesn't count for anything, he is not psychic and therefore cannot say that he believes you had no intention of wearing it as he cant possibly know what is going on in somebody elses head! if he could then crime rates would be so low as he would be able to predict when and where crimes will be committed! NOT POSSIBLE! also use the fact there were nuisance kids within sight of him that are obviously drinking underage illegally and restrcting car drivers view of the road which could have resulted in an accident and he did nothing. your explaination, to me anyway, was plausable and shouldn't really have amounted to anything more than a talking to or a caution at worst. i dont know what area you live in but each county's police force has a professional standards dept. use google to search for it or search for your county police force on the net and find out from their website. make the officers life difficult and appeal against the ticket, there was a more serious issue right next to him by the sounds of it, which he was more than justified to intervene in and he chose the easier motorist to pick on. p.s. i am not a police officer but mrs d does work within the police force so i have some knowledge of how disliked professional standards are and how things work. personally i would'nt cut up a rare model (mk1 RS/mex or mk2 harrier) to stick a different engine in, but as ben says anything else is just fair game, my engine is a relative of the XE, vauxhall, holden, chevrolet they are all part of the general motors group.

but how do you guys explain the salt then, if the playstation was surrounded by salt how did the slug or snail get to it? they go into nuclear meltdown when they contact salt

as i'm hoping to make the pod with the capri, im also hoping to make this, but i reallt think there should be a bit more thought on the dates, more peeps will turn up if theres nothing else going on, didnt the last meeting clash with something else the day before? alot of people have limited budgets and petrol is expensive with gas guzzling old cars also family commitments will reduce the numbers, if i spend all saturday (day and night) at the pod, mrs d prob wont be too impressed if i spend sunday evening out aswell.

i'll be happy gettin double figures on the mpg, but the noise may cause a heavy foot leading to gpm
