orionmojo Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 had a really bad gut feeling about the 'tina this morning, and just was really worried about leaving it alone for some reason. so i was late for work and spent 10 mins blocking it in with 2 other cars on our drive. came back tonight and my dad asked me if i'd moved it and i said that i had. aparaently some guy was looking at it when he'd got back form work and was asking if it was for sale, my dad said no, and he was still asking questions abou it. - suspicious the thinks. bastards bastards bastards i dont know what his intentions were, but i dot want to find out. AHHH i'm SO frustrated its getting full lockdown from now on.
antz Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 thats the only problem with classics little bastards wanting to nick them! rent a decent garage!
Admin Vista Posted September 29, 2006 Admin Report Posted September 29, 2006 Drives me nuts worrying about mine, I have two garages, one by my house that I see as relatively safe, the other is rented and is a mile up the road. I worry about the car in that one constantly and tend to interchange them at night to reduce the number of people that see them coming and going. Sad that we are reduced to such measures eh?
orionmojo Posted September 29, 2006 Author Report Posted September 29, 2006 Sad that we are reduced to such measures eh? how true
jay Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 every bloody noise at night, i jump up, look outside....... just in case.....
GT_Jim Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 similar happend to me in bournemouth, i went to see my sister there i took here out for a bit and we went back to her flat for some food. some guy followed me most of the way and started asking some odd questions later on we noticed some guys hanging around he boyfriends car - a mk6 escort in white it turns out they were trying to steal it it may just be paranoia but they could have been out for an old white ford on that particular road so after that the car had to be hidden on her friends drive it was so annoying
Guest V6MAT Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 no cars getting nicked over here but we still lock/chain the cars
mk14dr Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 mines been nicked once. i take the steering wheel off everynight.

Well at least u were on to them and blocked it in before matters got worse I still say we should start up an old skool vigilante mob That'll stop the thieving sewage.
orionmojo Posted October 1, 2006 Author Report Posted October 1, 2006 yeah. weird how i just thought about it that morning too. anyway. more security is on the way. as well as a new spot on the drive.
Trevmk3 Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 i woke up in the early hours months ago thinking someone had started my car went running outside half asleep ready to jump onto the bonnet as it was being driven off, when i got outside found that its was a car round the corner dropping someone off, didnt sleep for the rest of the nght though.
Jimsiss Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 you want to pass an electric current through the door handles, make sure it is just over 1 amp and they won't try to steal it again
orionmojo Posted October 1, 2006 Author Report Posted October 1, 2006 until i try and disable it for myself.
Gibson Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 wire the starter motor too the steering column.... if they dont disengage it before starting the car THEY MOTHERF**KING FRY.... still a fate too good for them
antz Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 wire the starter motor too the steering column.... if they dont disengage it before starting the car THEY MOTHERFUCKING FRY.... still a fate too good for them PURE GENIUS! i like your style! or keep a hungry guard dog strapped into the passenger seat they get in and find it sat in the seatbelt next to them
orionmojo Posted October 1, 2006 Author Report Posted October 1, 2006 sadie^^, and samVV both vicious as hell when it comes to intruders. they've both had one guy each who's been in our garden at night time. shame they're not out front with the cars! (she'd just had an operation on her ears)
antz Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 aww cute dogs! i rememebr when my dog had a sore face and had to wear a cone. we tied it to his colar so he rubbed his collar off then scratched his face.awkward little bugger he is! just strap them into the passenger seat of each car.thatll put the intruders off!

rs new boy Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 wheel clamps and hidden engine stop buttons could be a salution
antz Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 wheel clamps and hidden engine stop buttons could be a salution doesnt stop them putting it on the back on a transporter though
orionmojo Posted October 2, 2006 Author Report Posted October 2, 2006 mines blocked i behind 2 cars- 3 at night, and it has lots of security.
atomic punk Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I was thinking of disconnecting the brakes when parking the car so the sods get a real shock when they come to the fiorst corner Means I'd only have to walk to the end of the road and retrieve the car from the hedge along with mullered criminal think there may be legal issues tho
BIGKEV Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 ffs buy a £30 tracker - keep the batteries fresh and hey presto - if it gets nicked the next day the cops go and get it back for you ....... new set of locks or window maybe no more he says cringing.........
