i was made a good offer for my mk2 today and im not sure what to do

 

the problem i have is i can sell the tired mk 2 , 2 door less the new engine ive just put in(to drop in the new one) and buy a very good 4 door leaveing myself with atleast £1000 change to spend

 

or sell it and spend the money on my mk1 4 door leaveing me with £2000 to spend

 

or buy a shell build it up this summer and swap it over in the winter

 

or just repair the existing shell :sad:

 

 

im realy confused and not sure what i should do

i reakon u shud keeps urs if u love it dont get rid over wise ull regret it. or u could go get tht harrier u were on about

Oh a toughie! I haven't voted, but you should consider how you would feel if you got rid of the car. If you thought for a minute you would regret it then don't sell.

 

There is only one car that I regret getting rid of and that was my Mk1 Escy I rolled. I'd never consider selling the Capri, I'd be gutted.

im still unsure what to do i miss my 4 door wich makes me

want another one but im worryed ill feel the same about my 2 door

repair what you have mate!

 

take it off the road a while and give it a full refresh

stick with what you have got (unless its a real rotter) you never know what lurks below the carpets of another shell - unless its stripped of course. BUT beware you will spend a fortune on bolts, clips, pipes, cables etc when you build a new car, but you prob knew that anyway.

How 'tired' is the shell?, if it just needs a couple of plates & a splash of paint then keep what you have - you may end up buying something 10 times worse or paying a lot of money.

 

Even wings, flitches, front panels etc aren't too expensive if you can do it yourself or have a mate that can.
