As for not liking certain bits on cars , personnally i hate them chav neons / washer jet light things...but there ain"t no way they SHOULD appear on an OSF.....but if they do , who am i to say ....................

i prefer 13s on alot of osfs but a but i do make eceptions for the brokie wheels on cappers big arched cars an so on. (littlecrossflow car in ur sig is the nut an it looks right on 15s i remember wen it was in cf loved its the nuts) as for anything else i dont like plactic bumpers an body kits on oldskool moters eg sum of the minis nothing else relli bothers me much i do think the big archin the escorts is getin a liltle borin now but they stil look good

id have put retro als 15s on my xpack in a flash if they had fitted and the rear tyres cost £275 each for road tyres !

 

I dont like carbon or clear lenses, neons, glass sunroofs , modern engines in osfs but if i aint paying for it i dont have the right to complain about it . You can do whatever you want to your own car and power to you for doing it !

 

What i really dont like is negative threads , If you dont like soemones car then dont post a thread or answer one .

My pet hates are mk1 escorts on the same old minilite copy/7"rs alloys.

 

Pastel paintwork,vinyl seats ,cart springs for suspension and H*arris

 

stickers on the front/rear screen/rocker cover of a transit pinto.

 

Oh,and they never go further than the mad mile or the rolling road

 

to see how much of 0.00000001 bhp they gained since last week.

 

Obviously the said relic driver will bang on for ever more about his last

Gaz'es car looks good, but i personally wouldnt give it anymore than a glance, I've seen exactly the same car with many different shades and different owners over the years, there is nothing individual about the car, no forward thinking engineering, no neat fabrication tricks, nothing but standard add ons and i've seen them before, i dont read the same newspaper over and over again, so i dont look at the same car over and over again.

 

At Bromley one year there was 22 mk1 Rs2000's in a line waiting to be judged , all excellent examples of standard cars, a group of us was walking by and one of our group said to us why aint we stopping .. .... ....

" we see them last year"..." and the year before that" ...." infact, we saw them in the 70's too"... " there all the same just different colours"

 

Ratmans Cortina has been mentioned, any of you looked underneath and seen the engineering on the back axle?

Puddy's car .. how long has that been around, still wows people and has just been featured again, its has some touches that you just dont see every day which makes it interesting.

 

I could earn more money working in a fabrication shop, but I enjoy creating cars ... so that's what i do ... infact i think the only bolt on parts i make are the towing eyes , even my strut braces have weld on mounts.

 

Some may call me a Butcher, but while there is a standard example of the car i'll cut the rest up, mod it, change it, turn it into something new ....its what makes life interesting ... or we would all have shaven heads and black boiler suits on. living in a 50'x 50' 2 story house with 2.4 children and driving the new 'Worldcar Inc PeoplesCar 2000' .... no one would be an individual.

 

Just sit back and imagine if every Mk1 escort was Pastel Blue and had a pinto driving through skinny wheels.......... I mean a line of cars all looking the same at Boxhill....go on.. imagine it!

 

Gaz loves his car, i like his car, its a good example, it dosnt excite me, but lots of people love it as they have the same taste.

But a year ago, anyone with a 16valve engine in their car was "pants" ... now, you need a 16valve pinto to be " cool" ... give it time and Gaz will change the car again, who knows.. it may have 15" wheels

I think the webasto's look spot on

 

I made sure my mk1 didnt have a sunroof,

and now I dont really mind....

If it'd been that way 2 1/2 years ago I might've got a better shell

i really dont mind. i had a spare roof to fit but for the amount of work involved i really couldnt be arsed.

 

at least il be cool in the summer

I only asked what do people hate bolted to oldskoolfords , i don't like them on big tall wheels as they normally look shite but some types don't look bad . That's only my personal opinion though and that's all i've asked for , personal opinions If all the south london motors started fittting 17 inch chrome spinners and black windows then i certainly wouldn't mate , my car looks like it does because that's how i think they look best . I'm not single minded because i don't like tall wheels on oldskoolfords am i ? I'm only voicing a pet hate of mine , you may/may not like it but it's true
