My view is that your car reflects your personality and taste. Weather your into the classic look, race look, street look or hot rod and custom look, fit what you like and don’t give a toss what everyone else thinks. The most important thing with an OSF is that you enjoy driving it and have fun. :ykt:

It may not be old skool or to anybody's taste but you can't fail to be impressed with the workmanship that must have gone into doing it! Crazy! :D

I like big polished, deep dished wheels on MK2's, the works tarmacs ran 15's.

Spotlights on road cars look the mutts & are useful for seeing.

Oval strut braces came from necessity.

Sunroofs don't ruin a road car, just because the rally boys wouldn't use a shell with one doesn't make it bad.

There's plenty of critism of not doing anything unique these days - it's getting more and more difficult to do something new as it's all been done before.

Things I don't like - critism of the minilite look, it still looks the mutts - there are some really sh*t alternatives.

Ebay buyers who buy stuff with no intention of ever owning it...

I would personally never critise someones car unless there was something dangerous about it - if you can't say anything good then don't say anything.

I don't like Mexico stripes on non-Mexico's though...unless the "Mexico" is changed to 1300GT or something..

mudflaps

scruffy engine bays

spotlights on road cars

boot spoilers

bonnet pins

So you dont like rally rep mk2 escorts then?

I still say there is nothing wrong with big wheels on escorts :ykt:8)

I think my pet hate is Trailer Queens, Whats the point of biulding a car you cant or wont drive incase it gets dirty, frightened you may break it, thats what the RAC is for, and It uses too much fuel, Tell me its not cheaper to drive a car somewhere than tow it on a trailer, obviously there have to be exceptions, like its a new build and its not quite legal yet or its a pure race car,

Just browsing and found this, If somebody had told be this would look good, I would have doubted them,

There is somthing just right about it, and I dont normally like cars with arches that do not fit the contour of the wheels nicely.

Now this car does look the bollox for sure but it would look even better if i had it because i'd put some fat 13 inchers on it

Unfortunately most of the nice/fast cars get trailered/dragged everywhere  i can understand the owners wanting to be safe in the knowledge that they can return home without any problems though so this will usually be the case . The best part of oldskoolford ownership for me is the actual driving of them . All meeting up with your mates and driving to the shows /pod etc is for me better than the actual show itself usually . The 2 fastest uk 4 pot powered "normal" escorts ( terry davis + kev warn ) both drive them to events which must be applauded , terry davis trundled past us the other week on the M1 on his way to the pod
