i have to say i personally cant stand the 'pointy cortina'. they are an acquired taste. parts seem to be uber rare, as do the cars. i've seen minters go for 2k. or thereabouts. hope this helps

Affordable classics are asking more than double that for the 4 door 1500gt they have at the moment

and spur are looking for nearly £4k for this one

But I prefer the 2 door in my first pic, it's good to be different

Its only Panels you will struggle with as the rest of it is MkI Cortina.

They are an acquired taste but I do like the taste of a 2 door, although rare they are miles cheaper than the equivalent Cortina.

Oh and they are one of the only Fords who's door shut like a Rolls Royce, push them gently and click they are shut....

Very practical car for today, get plenty in them, good size boot and a big engine bay so plenty choice for engine swaps..

A guy I know has a Goodwood Green 2 door, lowered on cream Lotus steels and its Gert Lush...

There is a good owners club with a spare scheme, they have a very good national weekend thats well attended, held at Billing Aquadrome.

Mostly what neil says is right, Mk1/2 cortina, unless its a V4 where you will be looking for Transit/Mk4 Zephyr engine spares,, TCAs are deffo different, longer than the Mk2 cortina and the bottom ball joint is removable, New Body parts do turn up and generally are far more cheaper than the similar Cortina parts.

a mate had one back in the 70's. The Corsair is based on a stretched Cortina floor pan, I recall it is 4" longer in the back. It was designed as the rich mans Cortina and I agree the build and fit is better thanm your average Ford. Don't seem many around but look good with a 3 litre lump in there.

A useless fact - If you look at a Corsair and hold your hand up to obscure the the bottom half you can't tell the difference between a Cortina or the Corsair.

I'd love a Corsair, they're the nuts. 8)

Even more of an underdog than the Consul Capri IMO
