Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 24, 2007 Admin Report Posted May 24, 2007 You are going on holiday for a week abroad. You are a family with two kids. You have paid for half-board and don't plan to do much but sit by the pool ....... How much money do you take with you
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 I wish I could go on holiday Hell, I need one
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 24, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted May 24, 2007 We always try to aim for at least £100 a day Blimey even on half board ?
escort21 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Plan for spending loads if the bar is close to the pool..
Admin Vista Posted May 24, 2007 Admin Report Posted May 24, 2007 Yeah often the booze isn't cheap at these places as half board will cover you for food only. Better to have too much than too little and you can always change back what you don't spend.
orionmojo Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 i'd say top whack 100 a day too. also depends on how old the kids are. probably 50-70 a day. i spend 30 quid a night on beer when i'm away. plus food.
S2 Dee Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Depends where you are going. If you are going to Turkey for example it is dirt cheap and you would be hard pressed to spend a tenner. I would say in general between £50 - 70.
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 24, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted May 24, 2007 Going to Cyprus Kids are aged 12 & 10. CheeRS peeps
Admin Vista Posted May 24, 2007 Admin Report Posted May 24, 2007 Going to Cyprus Kids are aged 12 & 10. CheeRS peeps Cyprus isn't cheap, one of the few countries in the world where you get less sheckles back when you exchange your pounds for them Top place to visit though, and definitely worth getting beyond the hotel. I hired a car and saw most of the island. Have fun!
4parajon Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 We always try to aim for at least £100 a day Fook me We took about £600 when we went to Lanzarote for a week self catering in an apartment with 4 adults and 2 small kids. We eat out at least once everyday as well. Take your credit card with you as well Jo.....just in case you see a nice pressie for me
Slik 50 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 I dont think £100 a day is much as you can always come back with the change. There is nothing worse than running out of money 2 days before you come home We went to cypruss a couple of years ago and stayed on barracks with a freind of mine. There is loads of watersport activities to do that aint cheep, jetsking ect. We spent our last bit of dosh on fags to bring back for the wife. The flight was delayed by about 8 hours and we had no money left to feed and water the kidalywinks
Smudger105e Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Just raid the cashpoint on a regular basis!! They all work with our cards
Mr.Sumo Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 i"m taking £2000 spending money to Florida in October..... , thats for me , wifey and 3 sprogs
over_head_cam Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Never been on holiday (since i woz growed up anywayz)
fezza Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Bearing in mind that you mentioned your going to be spending most of the time by the pool just take enough to cover drinks/sweets etc, seeing as your breakfast and dinner is paid for you can spend as much or as little as you like Cyprus is beautifull Jo where abouts you going,we went to Aya Nappa 2 years ago and it was one of my best ever holidays Nissi Beach is a must if your nearby
Tom Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 take more than yo think you'll need. I found cyprus a little pricey in comparison to, say, Greece. Dinner for 2 with a couple of drinks came to about 30 quid
marky4 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 £70 - £100 aday you can always bring it back if you don't spend it jo, all those drinks and ice creams during the day mount up better to have too much than not enough
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 25, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted May 25, 2007 Fezza .... we're going to Protaras (not far from Ayia Napa I believe) it's near Fig Tree Bay which is supposed to be lovely Tom - I went there 10 years ago but stayed with my brother in law at Akrotiri RAF base so it was quite cheap but I have heard it's expensive to eat out - CheeRS. Mark ..... kids = I want, I want = ice creams + drinks = costly Think I will take more so that I don't get caught short so to speak Cheers peeps
