john_3.0s Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 How do we set up a monthly standing order or what ever? Im one of the non-contributors
Smudger105e Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 I did see the £12.00 go out of my Paypal account, but then found that was Burns! Another £12.00 has now left with my name on it... Is it Posse's purple Posse Club?
RFChris Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Truth be told, i have the bank account of a 10 year old (no switch/solo/electron/debit/chip and pin) which sorta buggers it up a bit. BUT to get round this i'm just gonna slap some moolah in Darrens hand at CF show. The question is, when i do does my name go a weird purpley blue kinda colour? Chris
Mr.Sumo Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 60 people out of HOW MANY Come on , thats a fookin disgrace...get your hands in them pockets...its time the members that had there say about the contributor idea put there money where there mouths are ! ITS ONLY 12 FOOKIN QUID ... FFS !
mk2_escort_chick Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Posse and the crew do a wicked job in keeping this site going for us osf'ers! Support the site
Admin Vista Posted May 28, 2007 Admin Report Posted May 28, 2007 Whilst I agree with the thrust of this thread, I'd exercise caution over labelling non-contributors tight. I remember the last time a post like this was put up, it caused offence to some people, though I have to say I'm surprised that only 60 people have dug deep.
RUSTYPUP Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 We do have a lot of members, but the VAST majority are silent and you therefore have no chance of getting anything out of them. What percentage of members that you have heard of are all paid up? It's a good idea to let people know how much the site costs to run though, as until I spoke to Johnnyh the other day I thought it was going to be a nice little earner. Us non computer type people have no idea of costs involved in running a site
Rick Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 60 people out of 6775 i hate to state the obvious but how many of those 6 odd thousand are regular visitors to the site. id say theres a die hard 200 or so people and the rest are either just un-used/second accounts and rare visitors i also agree with vista, if i wasnt a regular user i would have definately taken offence at this thread. as much as i would like to contribute at the min im poor as fook and £12 is food for a few days, both me and me misus are at college/uni and only work part time and still have to run a flat and pay bills etc. dont get me wrong i will defo pay my way when funds allow i just think its wrong to put pressure on any individuals because they havent staright away. £12 is great for what you get here, but bare in mind it was originally intended that it was optional/non-compulsary 'contribution'
petrolhead01 Posted May 28, 2007 Author Report Posted May 28, 2007 How do we set up a monthly standing order or what ever? Im one of the non-contributors good man !! on the top of the page is a subscriptions box click that and follow the instructions!!

Chris if you have a paypal account you can use this aswell!!!

Chris You'll get the 'OSF Contributor' next to your posts once you've paid. I'm afraid you'll never go purple, Chris, as you're a moderator. That colour always takes precident.

Baz. Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Ime sorry, i cant believe that no one can spare 1 pound a month! come on people be real, £1 a month, 25p a week to keep the site going and bigger in the comming years, Darren told me before he set this contributer up, there was 3 months left in the OSF pot, and that was it, site down, do we want that?? come on people 1 pound a month
Rick Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 dont get me wrong mate i mostly agree with all of that. it shouldnt be enforced in any way though as its a contribution and not a tax you just dont know peoples financial siuations so shouldnt make them feel any less welcome than the paying population. the greatest thing about this site/club is that it never had a registration fee which is probably a major factor in the success of the site its well worth contributing to keep it running and as i say, most people will contribute of their own accord eventually because theyre part of it and love it.
PaulAshman Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 I am guilty as one of those non payers. How do i pay up my £12.00. I want to use paypal to pay. This site is top and anything we can do to help Darren keep it going has got to be a bonus (plus get OSF contributor by ny name lol). I have seen OSF contributor by peoples name and until this thread never knew what it meant. Cheers, Paul.
